What Makes a Good, Traditional Barlow?

Hey Paul,

Sorry to hear of your wife's and your loss, Please accept my condolences though words seem so feeble at times like these.

Duncan, you need to go on a U.S. tour. I'll bet you would not need a hotel room anywhere on your trip. Maybe you could personally escort EARL from town to town!

Beautiful, Mark! I haven't had that big a grin or that happy a laugh for a long time! It turned out great. Your Barlow is cool, unique, and funny! It would be the perfect gift for your hipster nephew in Portland who wants a Barlow because it's retro. That's going to be a sought-after Barlow! :D

THAT gives new meaning to the phrase "fish knife"! :D
Superior work, Mark; that's incredible!:thumbup:

I wish I had your talents Mark. I'd be in the shop all the time and it would give me a reason for early retirement.

:eek::eek: The fish is alive !!!

It turned out fantastic Marko !!! The bolster stamp and bone (fish soup ???) are wonderful !!!:thumbup::thumbup::)

Fantastic Fish Barlow, Mark!!
Tell us more about the handles please!?!

Nice work Mark! The fish on the bolster stamp is so cool, I can't stop looking at it, just perfect.

I know from little about knives, TBH, and even less about making them. But I know I'd be proud to have made that piece and to carry it! Congratulations!
