Carried a very special Barlow today, I call it my memory Barlow and it simply is my most treasured knife.

Today ran the gamut of emotions and it just felt good to carry a knife I enjoy so much.

Tell us more?

Great looking TCs, Sarah and Paul! Yes we want to hear more about your day, Paul.

Fred and Perry, the emotional gamut ranged from sorrow to joy. Last night Nancy's Mom Lyla passed away around 11:00 PM Central Time...it was very much a blessing as all we prayed for was peace for Lyla to not suffer any longer. She was a fantastic woman and a wonderful Mother in Law that simply treated me as her son, and so respectfully I called her Mom.

Nanc was there EVERY day for three weeks. She took one week of vacation and then traveled the sixty mile round trip everyday to be by her Moms side for the additional two weeks. My wife exhibited such strength and compassion that I was inspired and awestruck. So a day of tears and of laughs and a comfortable knife was the choice of the day.

My sincere condolences Paul to you and yours! Sometimes in that very emotional challenge and circumstance the little things can and do make a difference. I have lost both parents and both in laws. My mother in law one year ago under much the same situation you find yourself and family in. Sounds like she has a great family and a great son in law. All the best in your time of loss! Lloyd

Truly a blessing from what you have told me in the past, Paul. Bless your wife and she will never forget the time and efforts you both shared in taking care of her mother. Sorry for your loss my friend.

Paul I am glad you are able to process such an event with pride in your wife. I went through a similar expirence a few years back with my wife and her dad. Wonderful man, and Julie did what your wife did. It was inspiring to witness. I am glad you have such a special knife that also provides you comfort!
