What Makes a Good, Traditional Barlow?

Wow Lloyd! Fantastic collection. You've been very diligent in the hunt. I suspected you had a sizable collection. Very nice.

Yowza, Lloyd! I've seen them bit by bit, but they do tend to take ones breath away when they're altogether like that. Ever put one in the wrong tube?

Here is a recent photo of my TC collection for those interested. I had them all out the other day doing a little inventory/housekeeping and thought what the heck I will snap a group picture. Not a very good picture but I don't have Primble or Perry kind of photographic skills. I know there are collectors with much bigger TC collections than what I have and some of those same collectors and others on this forum have graciously helped me with some of these I needed and was looking for-- you know who you are thank you very much! I have never focused this much time and energy and $$ on one specific style of anything but TC barlows have a way of charming "your socks off" you as many of you know. Anyway, please if you feel so inclined snap a picture of your TC collection in one shot and let us all be recharmed by these magnificent folders! I really enjoy seeing groupshots of GEC TC barlows. All the best in your TC collecting efforts and remember the hunt and those you meet in the process is half the fun. Thanks Charlie for making this all possible for us--much appreciated my friend. Lloyd

Lloyd, that is one heck of a collection! I bet you enjoyed hunting them down.

Loyd - you got the disease my friend! Whew - impressive line up there Sir, its always hard looking at your knives like this- because each and every one just stands out and hits you - and you have all that to deal with in front of you.

Duncan, I'd say Lloyd could use a little relief with his disease. :D ;)

Beautiful collection, Lloyd! One of these days, I'm going to get all mine out for a family portrait. But I won't need quite so much counter space![emoji106][emoji2]

What a an impressive collection of champion Charlows, Lloyd!:eek::thumbup::thumbup::thumbup:
You must have invested a lot of time and effort into putting that together!! Congratulations!!!:cool:
In case no one has pointed this out, I think I've heard (or made up) that having a collection whose total is divisible by 5, such as your 35 Barlows, is especially bad luck! :( But I'm willing (if not downright eager) to take that antique amber sawcut (5th from left on bottom row, just to be perfectly clear) off your hands to improve your fortunes! :D:D

Leave it to a mathematician to devise a devious scheme like that. I love it. :D

Somehow I've managed to stick with clips & clip/pen. It started with only clip/pen and then one thing led to another. I never thought I'd be fortunate enough to collect what I have so far. It gives me hope that one day I'll find them all. Yeah, I've been drinking. :D

Gotta catch 'em all!

You've got a very focused collection there, Fred!

Not too shabby yourself, Lloyd! :D
