What Makes a Good, Traditional Barlow?

It's amazing how quickly a thread drops back to page 3 or 4 these days!

So what do you Barlow folks think this is, hmmmmm???

Ooo I love puzzles. Perhaps this is a clue for the next barlow unvailing Charlie illuded to a few days ago...Perhaps a close up of some specific detail of the knife this new unveiled knife is modeled after...maybe this is a "GC" for grandaddy cutlery"...for a TC granddaddy... or...Adorned with Catt Rosewood, which was Galvanically salvaged...refering to the handle material...For some reason that cool barlow Charlie showed that had the squared off bolster end and was slightly curved, comes to mind, havn't been able to find it again, but this is probably wishful thinking.

Is that symbol a triskelion, as seen on the flag of the Isle of Mann?

Beyond that? I got nothing.

I went back to the first of this thread and looked at the older Barlows. I only came up with Cripple Creek.

Do I detect the world's first Charlie Campagna tang stamp? If so, looks to be a classic and much-demanded stamp. Wouldn't be surprised to see it debuted at the Rendezvous.

What's better than a tang stamp?

Looks like a blade stamp... tell us more :)

'Tis indeed a blade stamp!
You are close with triskelion, Rachel! It is the Trinacria, which represents Sicily which is half of my heritage. The main difference is the head of Athena in the center, the goddess who protected Sicilia in ancient times! In an interesting dichotomy, she is sometimes known as Medusa!

How long until the Rendezvous?!
nervous.gif

The Rendezvous starts on the 6th of august, at 7:30. There will be a crowd waiting on the front porch before 7:00, waiting to get in and buy a dedicated knife!!

Nice Appaloosa, Ed!!

This is an easier quiz; What's this??
