What Makes a Good, Traditional Barlow?

The same explanation I have been told Charlie,it is a phonetic transcription:

U (you) T (tee) K (keh, short k sound) I also expect long before Kutmaster. It is one of their earlier stamps, early ones having this stamp also :

Utica%20UTK%20Warranted%20pick%20bone%20711.jpg

Notice the small NY incorporated in the stamp. Utica,NY

Nice, rare stamp!! That wouldn't be an FJ, would it??

Yes,how did you guess.

Thanks Will and Jack,it is what most call pickbone.

Now that is a perfect stamp!!! Thanks for sharing, Lyle!

You guys are killing me with Appaloosa barlows and soup bones. I've been itching for a Case 62009 1/2 appaloosa for the past four years. Every time I see a nice light and dark one at an auction I'm at work at the sell point. Maybe I need to hit up some antique shops. I love those soup bones as well. So much character. One day I will get my hands of one...I hope. Beautiful knives follks, I've known about Case appaloosa barlows for a while, but I didn't know about the red bones. some of these are soupy, very cool.

Nice example, Phil!
When I saw it, I immediately called GEC, and changed an upcoming SFO to include that color!!

Shhhhhhhhhh!:D

Thanks, Robb, Paul, and Charlie!

Good call! It's a great color! Got it in my pocket again today.

Sweet looking first run TC, Phil! I always have to pull out the drool cup when you show that knife.

Charlie, you're killing me! What's on the horizon...? Argh, I guess I'll just have to wait. :)
