What Makes a Good, Traditional Barlow?

Here's a knife I thought I would never own: Sawcut-Soupbone spear. It's wonderful to add this to my small pile.

It's been extra busy lately. However, I do manage to read a few threads. I had a chance yesterday to take this photo. The Ancient Barlow makes a good marking knife. I used it to transfer the dovetails to the pin board using the Barlow.

Finally got around to taking a pic of my TC Barlow in third cut stag. I had really wanted to get one in walnut, but they sold out before I could order. Now I'm kind of glad I went with the third cut stag because it looks so unique and is less common.
