Been a good week for Barlows. Picked up this mint Winchester, appears to be Queen made, very high quality. Not sure when it was made, maybe 90's.

Another find is a Belknap Blue Grass, mint condition. I think this was made by Ulster and is a dead ringer for an Ulster 10 OT.

Fall is a great time to photograph your new finds!
Nice procurements Augie!

These make good, traditional Barlows:

Robb, you take fantastic photos. The Ancients are great but look even better with this background; is it a pond or some landscaping at your place? (I also like the shots you did of the Farmer's Jacks.)

Wow, thanks. I'm no photographer. I just look at the photos I like here in traditionals and try to use aspects of those designs and layouts. I'm really a one-trick pony--same lighting, place and time of day. I'll try to diversify in the future.

The background was an inexpensive enamel-over-steel table my wife picked up at Target or Home Goods. The "stones" are enamel over iron. The steel underneath was finally so rusted that she gave the table away a couple of weeks ago. In the photos, you can see the black iron legs and grey patio stones underneath.

Hope I didn't spoil any magic. Lol. :D

The magic is in the photography. :) They just do something for me. Thanks for the explanation.

if a toms choice barlow is on the 15 pattern, the 77 medium barlow is slightly bigger, with the biggest that i know of being a grand daddy barlow thats around 5 inches (such as those from rough rider, schrade old timer etc) is there a 4 inch barlow? or roundabout there?

Bob Cargill used to make a medium Daddy Barlow less than 5" long - about 4 1/2" actually.

This might be from before he formed the Cripple Creek company. He made knives in an odd mix of custom/semi-production. Nice knives, he did a lot of club knives I believe. Maybe somebody here knows more of the story???

Robb, that is a great Trinacria!!:D

Whew. I don't know anything about that knife Charlie other than I have seen a few more hens teeth then that knife, and that it's a gorgeous knife.

Just edited. Darned predictive messaging when using the phone.
