What Makes a Good, Traditional Barlow?

Thanks Ron, Gus and Primble! You guys and others post photos that far exceed my abilities. I do love seeing pictures of Barlows so please keep them coming. A Barlow a day keeps my wallet in play (and broke :grumpy:). Best, Lloyd

This is what makes a Good Traditional Barlow for me today!;)

Thanks Gus, I think they were made around 2001, maybe as late as 2007. There does seem to be quite a few out there NIB although I have not come across as many single clip. F&F is very good, this particular example appears equal to GEC.

Nice one Augie! Beautiful photo with great resolution. That RCC looks like a very nicely crafted Barlow and superbly made. I have a RCC Barlow inbound that if my research is correct is almost one hundred years old. Looks to be in decent condition and will post some pictures when it gets here.

Ron, beautiful photo of one of my favorite TCs. Love that jigging and color. Well done!

Gus, it doesn't get any better than that. Beautiful photo!

Thanks gentlemen, Lloyd

Primble I don't have any Chechen Rosewood Barlows, but my other GEC knives clad in it look very smart indeed, it's got solid ageing potential I reckon:thumbup:

Thanks, Will

Rob, beautiful photo and beautiful TC! Could you post a picture of that Che Chen Rosewood TC next to a Brazilian Rosewood TC for comparison? Thanks, Lloyd

I agree Will.

How I do love that Che Chen, Primble!

Thanks Gus - it was graciously gifted to me by Stephen and I feel fortunate to have it. :)

Ohh how I wish I could Lloyd. I have never seen a Brazilian Rosewood TC in person. ;):)
