What Makes a Good, Traditional Barlow?

Yes, the two-blade Days Works have both

Dang! Not sure how I haven't seen (or noticed) that before. Now I know the next knife I'm going to have to hunt for! :D

I love my Farm Boy, but a TC version would be killer!

There is ONE exception though....
That 2-blade antique amber sawcut Charlow just leaves me absolutely weak in the knees whenever I see one, and triggers intense yearning, desire, longing, wanting, covetousness, envy, lust, and probably several other deadly sins!!!:eek::D Buckeyebullet, you are one amazingly fortunate human being, IMHO!!!;)

Thanks GT!

Is that a TC with the same blade configuration as the #15 Farm Boy (full-size clip and spey)?

Also, that looks like some serious patina on that #25.

Good-looking pair of yeller knives!

Thanks Btb and looks like WunderGussy answered your question.

I reckon we were standing at the same well today C.C. - Nice OK Ulster and fabulous TC's Duncan ! Thanks for the comments on my FK Co. Barlow.:D

I just took this iPhone pic on the Old Fort Harrod wall during my walk down to the Post Office to send off a money order for another old knife I purchased.

(I might go back to that spot with more knives and my old penny. :D:D:D)

As always, your photos never disappoint Rob, what a wonderful Ulster with that sawcut.

Wow, this thread gets away from you so fast.

Duncan, thanks for the comments on the photography, the use of available light and getting consistent results has been my greatest struggle. Very nice collection of TC's my friend.

Charlie, love the OK, that is what I love about this thread, seeing another rare bolster stamp.

Rob, great pick up on the Fayetteville Knife Company Barlow, now that I see who won it I'm glad I did not get in a bidding war, congratulations on a very rare Barlow with a great bolster stamp. Nice picture of the Ulster also.

GT, Dean, Thank you for the comments.

Wow there's some amazing photography happening lately in here. Augie...you have nothing to worry about! Your pics are great!

How many of us see a great photo of a knife and then immediately search the web for the same knife lol. I know I do!

Thanks Ron, Gus and Primble! You guys and others post photos that far exceed my abilities. I do love seeing pictures of Barlows so please keep them coming. A Barlow a day keeps my wallet in play (and broke :grumpy:). Best, Lloyd
