What Makes a Good, Traditional Barlow?

Not as nicely arranged, but here are some more Barlows, including some of the requested ones - NYK, Gardiners etc.
dpowers, the "D" is a Delmar, the "S" is a Schrade, and the "D<>E" is a Diamond Edge (Shapleigh).

Bringing this one over to this page with the others.

What a fantastic collection, terrific pictures, handy reference guide... I mean those pictures are just fun to look at!  I especially like the wheel with hubcap :) ... not only great for desktop wallpaper, that's framed print/poster candidate right there!!

Charlie, love the stag stepped bolster I*XL. As Al stated, great to have these pictures for reference, part of the thrill in collecting Barlows for me is finding knives with a bolster stamp that I don't have, your pictures show me how many more I still need to find.

Nice Boker Ben.

Been a little bit of a dry spell for me as far as Barlows but finally was able to land a nice one. It's a Ka-Bar gold dogs head Barlow made for the collectors club in1985. The dogs head is solid 14K gold, really pretty brown or root beer jigged bone, 250 were made.
