What Makes a Good, Traditional Barlow?

Harry -:D I can see you have a little head start on your 77 Red Bone patina. I will try to post some catch up photos next week!:thumbup:

Yes I do !!!! While you were trying to find yours , I was peeling and cutting 3 or 4 apples.

Charlie, what is the 8th one to the right from the new holland? Also the ones with the single letters "D" & "S" and D diamond symbol E?

Super wheel of Barlows Charlie !:thumbup::thumbup::thumbup::)

Some things I noticed:

Where is the Gardner ?:eek::confused::confused::rolleyes:

Nice to see the Southington in good company. ;):D

Did Miller Brothers really live in an upside down world ?:confused:

The knife 1 minute up from that LF&C was my grandpappie's mark - that must be my family heirloom !!! :grumpy:

Charlie - First of all, great group of Barlows that anyone would be envious of! :) There is one Barlow missing.......the NYKC, "Jaguar" of Barlow knives that inspired your legendary TC's.
:D

Some great recent additions to this thread :) Those Bokers look splendid

Wow Charlie, what a great collection! :) Great pic too

I'm sure I once heard somewhere that the ability to draw a perfect circle is an indication of madness! ;) :D You've gone Barlow Crazy with all that long-bolstered perfection my friend! :D

Hold up-- that ain' no scanner bed.

--- Fantastic picture, Charlie!

(Who took it? :p)

I have a hard enough time getting five or so barlows in a row, in a row!

I love all the variations of earth tones displayed together, as well as the juxtaposition of so many different bolster stamps.

So much to see and enjoy here, in composition and content.

Sarah, I actually put a kitchen plate down, and arrayed the knives around it!
The pic was taken by a friend who is an aspiring photograper.

I will do a pic with those missing Barlows, and Miller Bros. had friends in that upside down world as well!
My grandpappy said his pappy won that LaBelle in a fair fight!

Found this thread lingering on page Four! and decided to show a couple of favorite TC Barlows.

First, my grail.

Second, a Stew's Blade that also trips my trigger.

I think everybody was so awestruck by Charlie's Wheel of Barlows that nobody wanted to try following that act. :o :D

Those are two beautiful TCs, Dean!

Okie dokie Charlie. I could've been mistakin' (jist this once ;)) about that being my grandpappy's knife. ;):D

Dean - Nice pickup and pics.:)

Love both of these, and love the color palate of the handles. They also have very nice grain.

Thank you Tsar, Rob and Robb!

And, Tsar, I totally agree. The Barlow world was comatose after seeing Charlie's wheel.
