What Makes a Good, Traditional Barlow?

Nice Wilfreds, wonderboy!!
(They look familiar?)
:D
Love the Redbones and speys on the previous page also!!

I got an email from Halifax, Nova Scotia yesterday from a fairly recent convert to traditionals, and specifically to TCs! The fellow is a documentary director and cinematographer. Here are some pics from his recent travels!!:)

I officially give up on trying to take cool knife pics :)
Ha ha! I know what you mean!! There are many good photographers on here though!
They make me self conscious of my plain old scans!

So here are some remarks from Chris who sent me the Pyramid pics!

"It's been great using my TC Barlow as part of my filming kit and for general everyday jobs. I'm 37 years old and got interested in pocket knives around 30. I dipped my toes in the modern folder world for a few years before discovering GEC and traditional patterns. Without knowing anything about traditional, the TC Barlow was the first knife that really spoke to me. After getting one it literally put my other knives on the shelf and has been a constant companion since it arrived."

There's something about the TC Barlows, and maybe specifically the sheepfoots (sheepfeet?), that does that. I have a similar story. I was familiar with traditionals from my dad and grandpa, but when I got into knives it was modern knives at first. Then I saw a smooth ivory bone sheepfoot TC in the general "what are you carrying" thread and decided I needed to get one. Thankfully, for me, at that time they still stayed in stock at dealers for a while because I found one at @gunstockjack and a few years later here I am with many more traditionals than modern knives in my collection.
