What Makes a Good, Traditional Barlow?

These two from way back, 2015:D the "Old Tan" Jig Bone yesterday, then the "Yellow Bone"? Today. I love the covers (although I'm uncertain of the cover names) and blade selection:thumbsup:

Great looking handles, as well as the knife.

I can't help but keep scrolling back up to look at these when I visit this thread. They're both lookers but that second one is something else.

Thank you untytled. I'm very fortunate to own them both. I have to say that at first my favorite one was the one shown on top but in time the bottom one has become the one I like best.
