What Makes a Good, Traditional Barlow?

Beautiful old Queens. A Queen single clip blade with bone scales was my first knife given me by my grandfather. Love Queens, only have four: my grandfathers, a #22 clip delrin with integral bolsters and two newer (Daniels) Queens (a bone stag and a workman). So sorry to see them go under :-(

Great Quorum of Queens, Stuart!!
They get my vote!!
I wonder if PP was the essential dye?? Great coloration!!!

Augie Augie R Rich S waynorth waynorth Thanks, guys. For that moment, I was the king of Queens (I refuse to claim "Queen for a Day", though I did watch that show "as a child"). I need to show a couple individually, as their colors shine when out of the box. Of course, their beauty is in not being pretty knives - they are just simple and honest. Rich, your granddad's would have been my favorite, regardless of make or condition. Again, thanks for the kind comments.

Big, solid and sharp - what's not to like? Oh, the name. GESCUT, a name owned by Cole National Company (Cleveland, OH), along with GESCO and Sabre. These names were applied to knives imported from Japan between 1960-1980 that may have been made by Mitsubishi. This knife, a model 29 (though stamped 24), like the Sabre model 629 that I have, is a very fine EDC for little money. Much like the little transistor radios that came over about the same time. Remember them?
