Thanks, Shawn. When they warn you that there is a razor, I should know better - it is one of the few knives that I have that I've truly bled, as well as sweated, over.

Paul, thanks. That is one of the knives that I inherited from my stepfather so I don't know its full history. The tang stamp is 6205R, which denotes a bone handle in Case-speak (5205R would have been more likely for this knife). It may be an SPO or a rehandle project. I, too, haven't seen many (any) like it.

I agree with the numbering (5205R) Stuart, but with CASE I have seen some unique things tang stamp wise

I only started accumulating Barlows in 2014 and my first old ones that I found were these 2 .

Then I started looking for new ones and the only new one that I could find that I thought was a good brand was this Schatt & Morgan in Winterbottom Bone . I was just blown away with this knife at the time and I still consider it a very well made knife .

I am posting this one today to keep the barlow binge rolling, but I note that the placement of the center pin indicates that it is not an original Russell barlow (see Old Engineer 's knife above for proper placement). It does have steel pins and proper pivot pin placement though. And it cuts well.
