What Makes a Good, Traditional Barlow?

I thought this new ancient TC run was going to be produced so as to be more widely available? Or did I maybe misread that about another upcoming TC?

You are correct. I would assume similar to the Chestnut Peachseed Jigged Bone clip blade.

If I understand correctly, 500 is the maximum number of knives allowed in an SFO. They were all made with the same cover material in order to hopefully make them available to more individuals, rather than one person grabbing 3 or 4 different cover options.

So even though the pre-order and reservation sites have them all spoken for your saying I still have a chance? That'd be sweet!

Signalprick Signalprick when I was having them made in three or so handle materials, people would order three or so knives to get them all! People order fewer knives now (hopefully) so more people get a chance at one. But the SFO orders are still limited to 500 knives! GEC is a small cutlery, with a lot of dealers who need knives. Hence the limit on orders. I am lucky to be a customer from the beginning of GEC, or I'd have an even harder time getting any made!!

No worries Charlie! If I missed the boat completely it's not the end of the world. I'm sure there will be other opportunities. I'll keep trying as long as there is a chance! ;) Thank you for bringing these great lookin' hard workers to us.

I dropped this Ebony Spear blade in my pocket this morning. Maybe I’ll get an email today! :)

Well my friend I’ll come clean! :D I have a twin of this one that is still mint in the tube. That makes it a little easier to be Totin this one! ;)

Those are not easy to come by my friend, ive once managed to get a slightly carried one as a friend need some funding but he's managed to buy it back. i am looking forward to the spear and whatever clip Charlie's got cooking for us as part of his run!

You’re just kidding , right?

:D:D:D a user tc is what i need to find, most of my collection of tc barlows all have come from significant sentimental origins and forum members that i'd hate to lose just cause they are irreplaceable. i did buy another ebony spear just in case because of frame modding capabilities that some members have for blade swaps but quite frankly im tired of having the knife I want; obtained by modifications. Because sometimes the modifications cause a bigger headache that I can only have fixed once a year in August at the factory (or by mailing it in). It is nicer to be there because they set it right to your liking.

You have some cahones taking a modded knife back to the factory for a tune up, lol!:eek:
I guess if it works..:confused::D

Loss is a part of life Jack. Don't let fear of losing something (possession or more importantly, people ) keep you from fully experiencing the prcious gift you have been given (a life to live).

I don't want to leave this world with a box of full of shiny knives. I would rather they be beat to snot or lost somewhere along the road.

Personally, I'm with LastRodeo. I understand a collection. And you've got a good one. I don't mean to put pressure on you to use knives you don't want to use. But did you ever see the movie Jarhead, and what happened to those Marines who trained and trained and got ready for a war that they never had to fight? They went nuts!

I'm just saying, I'll bet it would feel really nice to use just one of them ;)

every year I've visited :eek::eek::eek: this year I have two for them to touch up. they are glad to help when things are slow tho in the factory store.

I've had a couple knives touched up during the Rendezvous. Might have some things that I'll ask about this year also.
