  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

What Makes a Good, Traditional Barlow?

Okay , I like it a lot , but who was the maker Dwight . That sure looks to be a very old one . The real definition of Scratted Covers . Integral Bolsters ???? The blade looks used but sharpened evenly but it looks like the knife was dropped into some machinery . That is a real treasure my friend
Thank you Harry. It's an M Furness and Sons. Yes it has integral bolsters. It appears that it was a mice buffet for who knows how long. Both sides have been eaten about the same amount. You can even see the teeth marks. :D This ancient knife has probably seen very little actual use. Probably lay in the same place for a hundred years. :)
