What multitool or SAK did you buy today

Here you go. :)

Based on my research, this seems to be the most commonly available version of the 84mm Golfer. It has a stainless steel shield, an early version of the combo tool with no half-stop, a fluted 4 turn corkscrew, the usual crossbow on the tang of the knife, and no nail file on the back of the scissor layer. If you were looking for an 84mm Golfer, then this is what you would be most likely to find. Other versions of the 84mm Golfer can supposedly have a secondary blade instead of the combo tool, or a later version of the combo tool, and some 84mm Golfers will also have a back side fingernail file. The ones with a file on the back are more desirable.

This is a close-up of the old combo tool from the Golfer next to the most current version of the combo tool from a Waiter. The top is angled instead of curved. The tip is also different. The newer combo tool is better for opening cans than the old one is.

Scissors from 4 different SAK sizes. From top to bottom: 58mm, 74mm, 84mm, 91mm.
Lovely purchase, & nice explanation & pics..

Congrats!

Bought a leatherman surge in black- bought blind to replace my 30yr old gerber.
Not impressed really, maybe just expected better, I mean everything works but the blades n scissors just seem low quality. Maybe cause it’s Matt black and very flat and angular- heavy has hell I guess time will tell. Maybe I should have gone charge tti

Very impressed with my Leatherman surge. Heavy? I felt it was good re materials used, strength/build and what's included. One of the big things that attracted me to the Surge over other Leatherman/Multi tools was the T blade tool which allows me to swap out for Bosch metal and wood blades. The plain and serated blades sharpen well and with 420hc will be much tougher than the Charges s30v (more important to me). Someone said their 420hc is poor, perhaps they had a bad blade as mine sharpens very well with a 1200 grit stone and stays sharp as I'd expect a decently HTed 420hc to perform.

I've numerous multi tools and am extremely happy with the Surge.

Got some 58mm pen scales and put them on one of my Ramblers. Now it's a Manager.

Got a Swiss Champ for cheap. I only wanted it for parts. It looks 100% brand new and unused, but the first thing that happened was the glass lens fell out as soon as I opened the magnifier.🤬😤💢

Maybe I should have gone charge tti
The plier tips are a bit weak on those. It's fine if you only do light work with them, but with heavy use the tips will either break or bend over time.

I just placed my order for the 2022 Winter Magic knife. I'm somewhat surprised that there hasn't been a Christmas knife otherwise this year. In years past, the Winter Magic wood scaled knives have been in addition to the main Christmas knife. I'm wondering if we'll see a last minute reveal in November.

And it will stay this way until the new Hitch and Timber goodness shows up in my mailbox. 😂
This is not as easy as I thought it would be. 😂 Luckily I received an email informing me that my Runt is on its way. Gotta give H&T credit, they don’t dilly dally and they make an excellent product.

I don’t carry a writing utensil, so I’m not sure what I’ll do with the pen holder. 🤷🏻‍♂️
Any suggestions?
