What multitool or SAK did you buy today

Hmm…
I would say a combination blade would be good.
I use a screwdriver the most so philips and straight tips. Not sure if I need hex and torx that often and if I do I can run out to the car.
Pliers would be helpful but I’m not a fan of needlenose pliers.
Maybe a file and once in a blue moon a saw.
I prefer new because if this are worn down like screwdriver bits it will just frustrate me to the point of never carrying it.
Thanks for making me think about this.
I was looking at this. It has a couple tools I’d need the most but not all the tools that I could find myself needing. There is two different models. One has scissors, other has screwdriver.

You need to watch on YouTube "TX Tool Crib Gerber Armbar Drive".

Good video thanks. I think because of the size I’d be more inclined to carry it everyday which to me out weighs the few downfalls the video points out.
I think I’ll order it

The Armbar is a minimalist tool, for sure; compact, lightweight, and easy to carry. I'm a maximalist! My EDC is a fully-accessorized LM Surge! To each his own. Let us know how you like it. T-A

Got my Gerber Armbar tonight. I found a link to the original model with the pummel/bottle opener/pry bar instead of the new one with just the opener. Build seems nice. It’s very solid for such a little tool. I was looking forward to hooking it on my key chain but…..
The original model doesn’t have any place to hook up a split ring

Bought this 84mm Tinker a couple of weeks ago and rekindled my love affair with SAKs❤️

Check out "Gerber Armbar Dtive Lanyard" by Big A Outdoors on YouTube. It might give you some ideas. T-A

It's the one on the bottom. Notice the etching on the one in the middle:

It's my understanding that all 3 are the very 1st version of Gerbers, released in 1991. They are better known by their nickname, "Mr. Pinchy"! The newbie (seen here in the middle) differs from the other 2 by having a mark on the blade tang:

This is very interesting mate, I have one of these but no idea of it's age or model designation. Nice collection 👍🏻

This had been on my radar for awhile and threw a bid out there and landed it. Released in 2020 from what I gather, not that there weren't other dates it was released, I'm just not sure. Came really loose...to loose for my liking and after a little time I dialed it in to what I like. Beefy for sure. Now to land a sheath for it. Will follow the link mitch13 mitch13 sent me ;) 🙂

I think that is an MP 400, but, after a lot of research, I've learned that there's not a clear picture of Gerber model's, variations, and dating, or at least I haven't found it yet. Gerber's 1st multi tools, the ones with the shiny finish, were 1st released in 1991. The 3 that I posted in the pictures all fit that category. I'm guessing yours might be mid 1990's, but that's really only a guess. I hope somebody who reads this will give us a link to a good resource. T-A

Based on the geared technology, it was likely made by SOG. I have several SOGs and would love to add one like yours to my herd. Nice find! T-A
