Thanks man yes I believe that’s what it is I know it’s definitely a burl but I can’t remember but Amboyna rings a bell lol. I know it’s a Viper Swayback though 😁
EDIT: You had me wondering so did some research and you are correct 👍🏻
Gorgeous stuff, always seems to have a lot of character. 😎👍
Great looking knives and slips Jon, love the wrench! 😊👍

Tabby Scales! None better

My Princess has black pads (prob Siamese ancestor) so watch out for the Ebonies :D
The young folk call them "toe beans" :) Hers are speckled, but her brother's were black. He looked part wildcat, but probably wasn't, really.
Back when kids had to make their own fun. We used to play a game of rolling the seed balls from sycamore trees across the road, trying to time them with the tires of the cars passing by. They made a very satisfying POOF when run over. Acorns made a popping sound. We were either easily amused or very bored...

Today's Random Tuesday carry is an old Imperial Easy Open, a gift from t.willy t.willy . I made a fancy fob for it.

The conkers are inedible horse chestnuts unfortunately :( I used to know a good spot for picking chestnuts in Sheffield, but haven't found one where I live now, in Leeds. I've no idea why they planted inedible chestnuts, rather than edible ones! That sounds good fun Jeff, we used to shoot fireworks at each other with 'banger guns', but conkers is a game where the hardened conker is threaded on a string, and two boys (or girls) aim their conker at another, and try to break it. It kind of went out of fashion when I was a kid :D

All you needed was a pint in the Fat Cat JJ! :D Thank you my friend :)

A beautiful matching pair  :)

Carrying my WCLF Lambsfoot, and a Random Tuesday IXL Barlow :) Have a good day everyone

Jack, your Brit version of Dennis The Menace pin with your Charlie’s Lamb fits right in with my imaginatory, but misguided idea of what Conkers is.
Sadly, the Chestnut Blight killed most of the good chestnuts, and left the horse chestnuts!

That’s a lovely old Navy Jack, and your little monkey fist is fitting tribute for a sailor’s pocket. Nice job tying that!

Not a game, because harvesting black walnuts was serious business to my Grandpa. He discovered a good way to remove the messy outer husks without staining your hands brown. He’d bring sacks of them up from the ozarks, and lay them in his gravel driveway. Then drive over them for a few days in one of his Volkswagons. A VW isn’t heavy enough to crush the nuts inside, but once the husks were off, he’d rake them up, hose them off, and crack them with his vise.

293 Trapper cuz it’s Tuesday33181308-BDDA-4773-B249-F346B5FF666E.jpegLast weekend, I yanked up all of the winter squash. Chopped all the vines with the mower, and put them in a compost pile. This is an eating variety of pumpkin. Cut in half lengthwise, scoop out the seeds, sprinkle some nutmeg and cinnamon on the inside along with a little butter, and roast in the oven. We had 1/2 of one the other night, and really liked it.328772A9-AA82-4FE8-8504-8071B9E171C9.jpegIt’s also time for saving some seeds. These are garlic, cilantro, and spinach seeds.442698BE-2234-4BAE-A69A-224713C965FE.jpeg
