How right you are; my Dad is 85 and I spend all my persuasion power on getting him to do what his doctors and therapists ask. Knives, guns, boating, fishing, etc., have all faded away from his life. OHAt 87, I know better than to argue!

Only frozen ones but they tasted nice,Funny but but I was thinking about the home made ones we used to have as kids.
When we lived in Yorkshire my mum was given a recipe by a local,it was made in a baking tray (like a cake almost) and slices cut out.
Originally it was made as a filler for hungry/poor working people,sometimes eaten before the meal a bit like when you are given bread in a restaurant and are waiting.
I am going to ask my sister in law to make it old style when I visit at Christmas.
