Happy we both made the right choice's Amir Fleschwund Amir Fleschwund  Old Timers always bring back old nostalgic memories for me :)

Nice knives and beautiful gardens as usual.:thumbsup::thumbsup:
Yep, Old Timers to me means the 1960’s and 1970’s when I began the lifelong habit of always carrying a pocket knife.
Thank you very much for the compliment.
Imagine me telling my wife "no, I already have enough knives" what was I thinking?. She bought them anyways because she's the smart one ;)
(sorry, not to good at these multi quotes yet)
There have been many things like that. WWII bring back Mausers and police trade in Model 10’s, discontinued guitar effects pedals stacked high on tables in Guitar Center for $19.99 that now sell for $100^ on the bay...
Certain old cars...
And of course knives.
We either need a time machine, or just learn to be happy with what we have.

That's a GREAT looking Case :thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup:
The Micra is the handiest zip tie snipper I've found. Its one of those things I bought almost on a whim, that turned out to be surprisingly useful
Thanks Mike, that little Micra was so useful for the purpose at hand back in the day and still is. So much packed into a compact carry
Handsome Barlow, Paul.

My dad really liked Leatherman. He kept one of their older-style large models in his briefcase. He always seemed to have a Micra around as well. I have the leather snap pouch that came with the larger model, but I don’t know what happened to the tool itself.

I gave my father-in-law a Micra years ago when my wife and I were dating, and I think he’s been through a few of them now. It always pains me to see the state of the knife blade on his, he beats the snot out of them. 😁
Thanks also Barrett. I gifted a Leatherman Squirt to a buddy of mine that I installed gutters with a dozen years ago. It is truly his "every day carry" he keeps that little blade sharp as can be and I don't think there was a fleck of it's original blue coating anywhere on it  I admired that all he needed was just that little multi tool :)

Sometimes someone’s photo influences what I choose for the day. Other times, I’ve already chosen, and someone else’s photo assures me I’ve made the right choice. This is one of the latter.
I’m talking about @dave308ek’s post about USA Shrades being closed out for $5.
Two Old Timers are in my right front pocket today, because it’s Twosday. And Trapper Tuesday.View attachment 1672620

While outside to take a sunrise lit knife photo, I checked to see how my food pantry liked the 28f temperature.
This row of arugula and romaines, not too much. We’ll see if it perks up later today when Mr Sun gets off his butt. You can see the romaine that I decapitated for last night’s salad...View attachment 1672618The peas seem to have shrugged it off.View attachment 1672619
I really enjoy all of your gardening pictures and info mixed in with the knives.

Thank you for the compliment @mbkr , I am sure Tony would just call the color brown! He was a straight talker and let his knives speak for themselves. And they sure do. Whenever someone asks the perennial question, “if you could only keep one…”, well, you are looking at it.

No other knives are like Tony’s. They have a liveliness to them the rest do not. They even have a unique sound when they snap open. To me, it is like a tuning fork or the ringing of a bell. Maybe that is why he called the good ones “dingers!”. And as good a knife maker as he was, he was an even better person. There will never be another one like him.
Another beautiful knife that you show us Greg. 😍
Have a nice day

When it comes to this thread recently, I think I've fallen and I can't get up! :eek:o_O
I can at least post a few more of the knives I'm carrying this week.
In the sowbelly stockman category for this week, it's a Colt "black stag" (actually stag bone):

Regular stockman this week is a Case sawcut 6347:

My rotation schedule has also assigned me a couple of Rough Rider canoes this week, a carbon steel model with yellow synthetic covers and a stag canoe with stainless steel blades:
