Some of the Salanova lettuce that I planted late. So far it’s been shrugging off the frost. It looks like by Friday the night time temps will drop below freezing again.
Hurry up and grow!
It’s becoming an interesting experiment. (If that sort of thing amuses you) But it sure beats ripping everything out and giving up til next year. My goal is fresh salad for Thanksgiving.

I carried a Bullnose to Fort Mountain for a foggy overlook this weekend. At which point I pondered, do all GECs go to heaven? Yup, but some go to flipper-purgatory first. Maybe the French Kate doesn't go, I don't know.

That's right! I remember seeing your pics and comments about that trip. I was sweating it out, hoping all the home folks were treating you right. It sounds like they did okay.

Lunchtime beans on toast all got a bit to Northern today

Took the 3yo "Rock-throwing pointer" for some pheasants - he can sure flush 'em! Spooked 5 of them right away! We took the 2 little roosters.

Christened the Buck 102 I received for this season too.
