It’s on his hatThese Zippos are pretty cool. Can’t wait to see the Salty Chiefs anchor.![]()
Thanks!Nice choices John, hope you and your wife have a great time.
Nice stag Jon, the Salty Chief is looking good!
That Opinel looks perfect in the garden Jeff.
Is that Ironwood Kevin? And, did you do something to the blades? I have a small stockman and a Jack, but the blades on mine don’t look that nice.
Great afternoon fishing with my Dad and son. I carried my Schrade 893.

We all caught fish. My Dad gets the award for the biggest.

I'll probably whine about the snow from this past Friday through Sunday.I spent a couple of hours in nice weather late Wednesday afternoon raking up leaves in the back yard, and mowing both front and back yard; there were still very few leaves down, so I just mulched the ones in front as I mowed the grass. Looked pretty good as darkness fell about 5:30. When I took the dog out at 4:30am on Thursday, I found that wind and rain during the night had finally caused a significant amount of oak leaves to drop, and I probably had 4 or 5 times as many leaves as had fallen in the 2 previous months. Then we got at least an inch of snow on top of the leaves late Friday afternoon and overnight, and more (not much, but every little bit hurts
) Saturday and Sunday. The older I get, the harder it gets for me to live out my alleged philosophy "Shut up and play the hand you're dealt!" (especially when it comes to winter weather).
About those leaves now under snow and frozen to the ground...don’t worry, they’ll be there waiting for you.![]()
think Zippo owns Case Cutlery...I have never seen Zippo on any knife before either fwiwBe careful, that blade might be too big in Chicago. I didn’t know there were zippo shields on Case knives until you shared pictures.
Thanks. The finishing touch, his anchor, came in yesterday.
The jigging is sporadically awesome...laid out in similar lineation but hand done look, I love it and the honey brown hue-my favorite on bone covers-good share here!
Thank you. I could be mistaken, but I believe old knives with pickbone were jigged by hand. It's always exciting to find a good example.
