What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

I went with this #47 today.

I'm carrying a couple of canoes this week, and to my complete surprise one of them is a big Rough Rider Christmas canoe; I really don't mix up my holidays that badly, but I don't even attempt to predict what dates a given knife will show up in my rotation schedule. The other canoe is an inexpensive white bone RR canoe that became priceless when r8shell r8shell exhibited some of her scrimshaw talents on it!

That looks like such a fun knife Ed. Did the box come with a “batteries not included” sticker? 🤣🤣🤣

That’s what I like best about Thanksgiving, it’s all about family, sadly they had to head back early.

It is for sure. I got mine Tuesday. It’s “Safe Queen” days are over! 🤣🤣🤣View attachment 1689730
Todd, you know what they say…an apple a day keeps the flipper away 🤣

That sounds like a lot of fun, I hope you brought a chainsaw! 🤣
That’s why we brought the kids. 😁 They were arguing over who got to cut it...with a hand saw.

Over the years I would get a permit to go cut a tree from the US Forest service. A few years ago my daughter started working at a Christmas tree farm where you cut your own down. Guess where I go now:rolleyes:
We found a good one very close to where we parked. Of course that was after hiking around where we have gone in the past and finding nothing because it had burned. The farms around here have gotten expensive and the Forest Service permit is cheap.

Thank you very much, Jack!!! :)

You followed up your tasty Thursday with two sweet slicers today; super cool combo, too!

Adding a bit of color to my Black Friday with these two from GEC. :)
Thanks a lot JJ, great to see that colourful combination my friend :)
Happy Black Friday, hope you're getting all your shopping done.
That's a stunning pic of Charlie's wonderful Lambsfoot John  :)

Wishing everyone a great weekend, I hope our members in Britain and Ireland are hanging onto their hats, and that our US members aren't sick of turkey sandwiches ;)

Sometimes I drive myself crazy,I love this little 15.

But as I always carry a SAK Alox like this and the blades are to my eyes the exact same shape and size I just never carry it.

I tired not carrying the SAK but I use the tools a lot especially the awl.

Now a bigger knife alongside makes sense to me,I am definitely overthinking things.😆
