Going through the bonding phase with this 40+yr old (SW0=1980) Genuine Stag Canoe
BRAND NEW, never carried or sharpened. From a gunsmith's estate
Old guy purchased this knife in 1980 ($49.95 retail in 1980) and stored it. End of story ... kinda

We’re enjoying a few beverages and watching one last Christmas movie. I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas! 🎅🎄

This may have been the first Christmas in decades that I didn't watch even a part of a Christmas movie! 😲 o_O
What movies were part of your Christmas viewing, Barrett?

...
Reckon I'll just hunker down indoors, and admire some fine American cutlery :)

A couple of knives worthy of admiration, Jack!:thumbsup::thumbsup:
What kind of nuts are in the bowl? I think they might be a type that has at least a couple of different names.

Sweet dreams in barbarian splendor till next year, Christmas knife!

I've admired your Christmas knife and your dedication to it throughout the holiday season, Jer, but I don't think I noticed until this photo that it has some holiday scenes etched on the blades!:cool::thumbsup: Would one last close-up with open blades be possible (or a link to a previous post showing same)?

Yesterday morning (Christmas morning) when I posted here, we had about five inches of snow that had fallen over Christmas Eve Night and I didn't figure it was worth mentioning. Well, throughout Christmas Day an additional seven inches of snow fell and another six or so inches fell overnight last night. Now I've gotta go out and shovel it and plow it. Oh joy !!! To put me in a better frame of mind, I'll be carrying this Case CV Sowbelly. It has absolutely no use when it comes to snow removal but I like it so I'm toting it. Gonna eat some eggs and sausage before I shovel/plow. Hope everyone has a great day. Oh, I'll pay $25.00 an hour to any of you who want to come and shovel for me.

ED, are you sure you're not bringing all this snow down yourself because you accidentally left a knife on the shed roof?? 🤓

Happy Boxing day, a 33Ot for the day. Used to carry one often years ago.

Handsome Middleman Jack, Paul! :cool::cool::thumbsup:
How is the knee doing? How much dancing have you got planned for New Year's Eve? ;)

That's a handsome couple, Steve!:cool::cool: (And looking especially good with no nasty snow in the photo. 😁 )

72 degree and mild NW winds, dropped the boat in the water and took my visiting family for a cruise down the ICW to New River and back. Did use the knife, youngest daughter found some tags in her new sweatpants and wanted them removed - Porch Member to the rescue! Took my standard boating pocketknife. OH

Sounds like a good day, Bruce, and looks like a grand knife!:thumbsup::cool:

Hope every had a great Christmas. Happy Boxing Day!

Didn't get any knives for Christmas, but I did get this amazing handmade bird house built by my dad using wood and old license plates.

Congrats on the splendid handmade birdhouse from your dad!:thumbsup::cool:
Reminds me a little of a license plate project I see in the cabin we rent on Lake Huron for a week or two each August. I don't know who made it, but it's very cool, since many of the other renters do a lot of fishing for northern pike.

Elvis would probably sing, "But you'll have a blue, blue, blue, blue Monday." 🤓:cool:

I carried my Eureka today and wore this sweet beanie that my daughter stitched my brand onto and gave me for Christmas.

That personalized headwear is fantastic, Bart, and belated congrats on the Eureka Jack!:thumbsup::thumbsup:

Today in my pocket walk this Wenger Ranger.

That looks like a very useful knife, José!:cool::thumbsup: Have you used the pliers very much?

Possum Skinner and Humpback Whittler...there's a country song in there somewhere 😜
...
That's a song I'd definitely be willing to learn and sing along with, Mike! 🤓:cool::cool:

It's been snowing every day since Christmas Eve almost all day every day. The trip to town yesterday was a bit arduous what with the snow on the roads. They had been plowed a couple of times but at the rate the snow is/was falling, it is hard for the road crews to keep up. Oh well, Navy Bean soup for dinner last night with spaghetti coming tonight.

Wish I had my old tractor but alas, I sold it a couple/three years ago. Boy oh boy!!!! Don't I wish the place looked like this today.

.

I hereby repent for any whining I may think of doing in the next two months!

Hope the knee is coming along, Paul.
