Have a nice day.

Been carrying this gorgeous ancient for a few days now.

I bought it from some gentleman here at the traditional forums, can't recall who it was but I'm very gratefull that he was one of the few who sends stuff over seas. It's not easy for us non US guys to snag something like this. I was extremely lucky!

Thank you, Jack! Always nice to see your AC—really good stag!

Thank you. I got very lucky !!! ... Saw it early last week ago on a large auction site and bookmarked it, as bidding ended just this past Sunday evening and I didn't want to jump in a week early. I fully expected bidding would drive the price up to something I wasn't prepared to spend. While not the best stag I've seen, it's just about the best I've seen on the Schrade / Wostenholm series ... at least compared to others that are available. Much better than most.

With no thought of the knife, I took a long nap Sunday afternoon, awoke and got on the computer. After almost a week, I'd totally forgotten about this knife ... but then I saw the bookmark and clicked out of curiosity. The bidding was set to expire within 5-6 minutes !!! ... Perfect timing and there was not one single solitary bid on this knife !!! So I thought, you know, maybe this knife was meant to be mine. I was the one and only bidder. I bid the starting asking price, still fully expecting to be out bid at the very last second ... and lo and behold, got it for a "song". So paid for it immediately on Sunday evening and it was at my door, New York to Alabama, on Wednesday !!! Super duper fast shipping.

The knife sat virtually untouched for 40+yrs. Last night I rejuvenated the stag with some mineral oil ... which is still fully soaking in but just now took a picture anyway ... and I'll do minor preservation before deciding if I'll carry and use the knife or store it as well. No idea why it was perfectly timed for me to have this knife, like it was meant to be ... it just was I guess.

Nice when things work out that way! 👍

Thanks Gary. That licensed Michigan pike is a sight for sure, very nice.

Carrying these two today.

There'll be no two steppin before the New Year Gary and thank you for the compliment towards my Middleman Jack

Like the Pike Gary
Thanks for the pike comments, guys. :) If all the lights are off in the cabin, it's kinda cool to sweep a flashlight around the room looking over the lake, where the license plate pike is "mounted", and see the reflective stuff on the plates light up. 🤓

Jeremy, those are a couple of nice wood knives, I especially like that osage orange!:thumbsup::cool:

Paul, sorry to read that you won't be dancing in the New Year, but glad to read in a later report that you're improving enough to shovel snow!:thumbsup::thumbsup: I think the way I dance (or don't really dance) is less strenuous than the way I shovel snow (and I think I probably enjoy shoveling snow more than I enjoy dancing o_O).

Thank you so much Gary, I used very little but it is functional and useful.😉👍
Thanks for the info, José!:cool::thumbsup:

Cool pic of your knife on a tractor!:cool::thumbsup:
It's been many decades since I've seen one of my brothers riding on an old Massey-Ferguson! 😁
How old is that tractor, and how do you like the Brother knife?

Wow! I had no idea that was a new-this-year knife, nor that it had such content-rich blade etches; very cool!:cool::cool: Thanks for the additional photo.

That's too bad.
Hope you find something fun to do instead.
Thanks John, unfortunately I've had to wait in for a DHL delivery all day (they were supposed to be here this morning) :(
Love the AC, Jack. 🤠
I'm glad it's getting some deserved pocket time lately.
Thanks again buddy :)
Good Morning Porch Friends
Decided to Tote the Boker Boys Knife today, it makes a good companion to my Usual Lamb.
That's a very attractive pairing there John
Thank you, Jack! Always nice to see your AC—really good stag!
