What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Good Morning everyone. I have a GEC 23 in the belt sheath. Trying to stay healthy. Everyone around me is sick.

Very clever bending jig you devised, Jeff. I’m looking forward to seeing the end product. I started making a guitar in college when I had access to all the tools at the Craft Center. I finished college before I finished the guitar, so 20-some years later it sits in my closet unfinished. Great pair of knives, too. 👍
If only I could claim to have invented it, Bart. Best described as monkey see-monkey do.😗
Thanks, Bart. And best to your daughter!

Have fun at the Market, Jack.
Hope more superheroes show up to entertain you.
Thanks John, I think it may have been too cold for them, been below freezing all day! :D
Thank you very much, Jack!!! :)

That is certainly a very awesome pairing, Jack; the blade geometry on your T.A. Davison looks super sleek and cool, a Sheep with some Wharnie influence! ;)
Thank you very much JJ, the Davison was actually commissioned as a Lambsfoot, but came as a Sheepsfoot
Toting these two wearing wood today. :)
Couple of excellent Wooden Wednesday choices there my friend :)
I carry a couple of canoes every week. This week both are Rough Riders. One is a smooth tobacco bone model, the other is a smooth white bone model that was originally mundane, but with some r8shell r8shell magic became magnificent!

Couple of cool-looking Canoes there Gary, great work by r8shell r8shell :)
I’m staying at home this week since my daughter has covid (she’s fine, just trying not to contribute to spread). I was messing around with this Colonial electrician today, among others.

Gary, John, and Todd, pay no attention to the background. 😁
I hope your daughter will be OK buddy  tmd_87 tmd_87 too

I forgot how nice that old friend T.A. Davison is!!!
Many thanks Dave, it is always a treat to carry it :)

Hope everyone is better soon, and that you stay healthy my friend :)
Good Morning Porch Friends

Starting with my Usual Lamb

And adding the GEC Eureka Jack
Nice pairing John :)

Mine too... especially since my wife said, "That's cool, are you going to get it?"
I'd have one on the way already if they weren't on backorder.
SWMBO hasn't seen it yet, but I have signed up for alerts when they are in stock. Sometimes, after I've had some time to reflect, I do change my mind. Seems unlikely though! :D

Travman Travman , good luck! My sister was hammered by the ‘rona, and her husband tended to her the entire couple of weeks and he never caught it. So there’s hope.

66A996CC-2BBD-4BF1-9FA6-95172779270B.jpegThis particular Voos jack has been around the block a few times. But sharp as hell and ready to go.
The Wenger is a slim two layer SAK called the Canyon, which “has everything you need, and nothing you don’t”. I would much rather have a phillps screwdriver on the back than a corkscrew. But I have that model too. The Viking is exactly the same, but has a corkscrew. F3A18CA0-DFB5-4DD7-9D72-A37F24BFDFD4.jpegYou all have a fine and happy day. Stay warm and healthy!

I’ve been laughing at/with you guys and the comments over this particular knife of Bart’s.

We have a disease, don’t we?

I sincerely believe that if there were no internet, no porch full of enablers and instigators, I’d still be perfectly happy with just a couple of old Schrades, an SAK, and a filet knife.

It's worse when we are addicted to knives and fly fishing for trout... double whammy.
Yes, if there was no Porch, I'd probably still be carrying my Case Yellow Trapper and be happy as a clam.

Looking good Gus, really like how it’s getting darker. 😊👍
Thank you Todd, it’s the lack of light that makes it look so vintage, for now ;)
Simple but effective. I originally passed on that one when they were released and had to resort to the secondary market for one. I'm glad I did, it has become one of my favorites.
Thank you as well Jeremy, I did the exact same and bought two here on our exchange.
The all nickel-steel and cigarillo size all in one just sealed the deal.

Today’s carry is always a difficult one to let go of, model 1823…

Thanks, guys, much appreciated. She is doing well 👍

I can still see it back there. 😁

Too late, I saw it.

It’s always great when your wife gives you the green light 👍

Nice to see the Eureka accompanying the Lamb, John.

It has been pretty funny, and it all started with an innocent posting of a new knife.

My knife accumulating has definitely increased since I found the porch in 2015.

LOL, 2 great hobbies, oh am I encouraging again;)

:thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup:

I saw that one too, really had serious regrets not picking it up, looks great!

First thing I thought was, if that house could talk. Glad the property went to someone who appreciates it. the Eland somehow looks very appropriate there;):) Edit to add, thanks for sharing the NYKC scout. So nice!!!

Great looking whittler, so perfect in every way.

Do you use the TEW on the fret slots cause I heard they might be hard to do? :D

Really great canoes, Rachael really did do a fantastic job, looks amazing.

This one is really great to fidget with, been really liking it since I got it.

Very nice Dave, Swing Guards aren't pictured very often but I think they're a beautiful knife. I have several red bone and a stag Case and will carry backpocket every now and again

Hoping the best for both of you and your families, hang in there! 👍

Too late! 🤪
Thanks Todd. So far just mild, cold like symptoms. I’m on day 4. A lot of vitamins, soup, water and rest. Oh yea messing with my collection, cleaning, oiling and stropping.

Fortunately, I’m the only one that has tested positive or feeling ill in my house. Wife and kids are good so far. Been contained in the bedroom watching Lonesome Dove 🤠.
