I'm old enough to predate the present internet. I was happy going to Cutlery World and the local Army & Navy, once in awhile. I'm sure I had no more than a dozen knives. Then I found this website 17 years ago, and ecommerce took off. It's been downhill since!I’ve been laughing at/with you guys and the comments over this particular knife of Bart’s.
We have a disease, don’t we?
I sincerely believe that if there were no internet, no porch full of enablers and instigators, I’d still be perfectly happy with just a couple of old Schrades, an SAK, and a filet knife.
Yes, That Boker Brook Trout pushes too many buttons! It's worse when we are addicted to knives and fly fishing for trout... double whammy.
Yes, if there was no Porch, I'd probably still be carrying my Case Yellow Trapper and be happy as a clam.
Don't kid yourself! There is no innocent posting of a new knife! Just Kidding! It has been pretty funny, and it all started with an innocent posting of a new knife.
My knife accumulating has definitely increased since I found the porch in 2015.
Hi! Nice knife, but the pocket clip makes it a no-no in this sub-forum. It's likely the lock would too. It's all explained here: Guidelines
I’m not sure this qualifies as a traditional knife since it’s main blade is locking. For $12 though, I’m not arguing. Clip is nice and strong from what I can see.
My bread and butter is rhetoric (writing and speech), but I also teach logic (formal and informal) and humanities (a "great books" style humanities program).
The locking blade doesn't disqualify it, but the clip does. I'd like to see RR delete the two non-locking blades for a nice, slim single blade lockback.

I plan to replace my unmentionable moderns with small fixed blades for a while. If I find I prefer it, I've got one I've been eyeing for a while on my wish list.I hate not having one with me! They grow on ya! I'm sure I'll be adding one of those Brook Trouts!
Physics is WAY outside my normal territory.I see how pre-algebra is a bit outside of your normal territory! I am physics and math.
If I could (legally) pocket carry a small fixed blade, I'd give up on my "unmentionables" too.I plan to replace my unmentionable moderns with small fixed blades for a while.

My son is getting his PhD in Physics, and I can't even talk (intelligently) to him any more.![]()
I like that little fixed blade! I'm afraid I'm guilty of carrying both a small fixed blade and, well you know!I plan to replace my unmentionable moderns with small fixed blades for a while. If I find I prefer it, I've got one I've been eyeing for a while on my wish list.

She is doing well. Thanks, John. Hopefully the rest of us avoid it somehow.Thank you, Bart.
Hope your daughter is doing well.
I wish my brain had an easier time thinking mathematically, but it takes much more effort for me. Thankfully, Pre-Algebra isn't terribly complicated!I see how pre-algebra is a bit outside of your normal territory! I am physics and math.
