It's been a very good week for getting a couple of knives I've wanted for a while.
I feel very lucky to get these so close together. I agree the Jack feels very different than the Barlow.
It's weird to think about. Today, the Jack seems more of an every-day knife and the Barlow seems more upscale... certainly different than it was in the past.

Have a 1pm visit with our tax guy. Gone are the days of sitting at our dining room table. Since the covid it's a quick hand off of all our pertinent paperwork.

I still do our taxes. They're pretty basic and by being able to do them convinces me that I'm not too far down the road of senility - a little bit crazy and koo koo but not senile. Now let me see; where's that bottle of Prevagin?

Another 4th place last night, and our daughter received All Conference for the fourth straight year. Now it’s time to turn the page. Thanks for indulging me, I promise, no more swim meet talk!
Mrs. Bigfish had a surprise up her sleeve. When we left last night we didn’t head home. She booked a couple nights for us in Lake Geneva. We were going to do a little skiing but it’s supposed to be 50 degrees here today so no skiing. View attachment 1747129

Been away for a couple of days at a pal’s place for the duration. This is a pool house, with the 20ish by 40ish foot pool buried in the white stuff. As I’m typing this, a guest appears in the shadows and makes a run for it!!
