I "grew up" (or at least got older and taller) in Iowa.
If memory serves, a "snow squall" is about a step below a "blizzard".
I hope you made it through without getting snowed in, loss of power, tree(s) crashing into home or car, discovering your car under a snow drift, having to shovel the roof ...

We were safe and sound at the hotel by the time it hit. No power outage or damage of any kind. It was pretty amazing how fast it came up and how quickly it ended.

Carrying this new-to-me GEC Red Micarta #77 Jack
I was hoping GEC would run a Jack with their current #77 Barlows, since I've been wanting one for years.
So, I'm more than super excited to be able to get this one in a trade as i watch everybody else post their new Barlows.

Another 4th place last night, and our daughter received All Conference for the fourth straight year. Now it’s time to turn the page. Thanks for indulging me, I promise, no more swim meet talk!
Mrs. Bigfish had a surprise up her sleeve. When we left last night we didn’t head home. She booked a couple nights for us in Lake Geneva. We were going to do a little skiing but it’s supposed to be 50 degrees here today so no skiing.

Have a peaceful Sunday! Cleared the overnight snow from the driveway, and the bird feeders. They were patiently waiting for me.
Have a 1pm visit with our tax guy. Gone are the days of sitting at our dining room table. Since the covid it's a quick hand off of all our pertinent paperwork. Gonna end the day with Chinese take-out.

Congrats to you and your daughter, Todd, sounds like a great weekend and a nice surprise from your wife. I recognize Lake Geneva. I was born outside of Chicago and my parents used to talk about going there.

I went to get some felt for my shed after the storm removed the old stuff for me.

Then went for a coffee,sitting outside in the rain.
