What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Big day!!! I'm well enough to go to the Wagon Wheel Cafe for a soft breakfast - pancakes and then on to the Holiday Market and Four Corners Market and maybe a stop at the Grocery Outlet. Nothing heavy duty planned during this adventure so, this Baby Remington will do just fine. Edited to add: Actually, this knife is quite capable of handling some pretty heavy duty tasks. It's pretty dang stout.

Thanks Jeremy, that is a terrific picture. Hey I have a red 71 just like that one. 😉👍
🤣
This picture should have a PPP etch, “Perfect Picture for President’s day.”
😄👍
You both look like you're having a fun time. 🤠
I'm with Harry, I wouldn't drive on it... heck, you'd have to talk me into walking on it. 😁
Yeah, I’ll take the advice of the wiser on this. 😊👍

Speaking of the “Wise One,” Harry and I weren’t able to meet for breakfast before we headed home this morning, bummed about that, but we did take his advice about driving on the ice and a breakfast place. Thanks Harry, Egg Harbor was fantastic! 210C4E96-BF86-436E-B297-68884058B48B.jpegEF2B8C37-2839-4081-84D9-39EB505C9D05.jpeg
I’m a sucker for Carnitas, and with eggs, yummy! 😋 Kinda surprised you didn’t recommend your own place Harry. 🤣E832FD57-75D5-4A0E-B42E-101F1878E756.jpeg

Glad to hear that you're mobile and healing, Ed.

Thanks, Todd. I'll bet yours has a little more patina on it. 🧐

More awesome pics here. That breakfast, yum, and the IRJ continues to impress.

I have to admit, Todd -- this photo really struck my funny bone this morning. I think we all become so accustomed to taking photos of our knives that we get to the point where we don't even think about it. Still, I had to wonder what your fellow diners were thinking when you laid your knife down on top of your breakfast and started snapping photos! 🤣

Found these old grass shears at my dads house. Had fallen back behind a shelf and sat there for the last 40+ years. Cleaned them up & ready to go. Pretty sure they are same ones I used when I was a teenager. Have a great week.

That's cool Tim pmek5 pmek5 !!! I've got and use some of my Dad's tools that he used back in the 1940s and 1950s. I actually keep one of his old pair of pliers on a shelf next to my desk to use for miscellaneous tasks that crop up sometimes.

Had a great day hanging out here in Lake Geneva, Harry’s county. It was 50 degrees and VERY windy so there was a lot of water on the ice but we did get out on it for a short walk and a picture. View attachment 1747588
Then did a little shopping and saw this. Hard to tell from the picture but it’s a hammerhead shark made with an axe, very unique and super cool. I almost bought it but after putting on my glasses I saw the decimal was in the wrong place, thought it was $125.00…nope it was $1,250.00 😳View attachment 1747590
Late to the party Todd but much congrats to your Daughter and of course Dad :)
Beautiful pictures also my friend!

Thank you very much, Jack!!! :)

I'm very happy you didn't forget your sweet Double Barlow Sunday treats; much like your Yorkie treats, "one for now, one for later"!!! ;) 😁
Thanks JJ, those Yorkie bars are on their way across The Pond to a friend of ours! :D
Toting a KK Barlow and a Cat scout for Sunday. :)
Superb pair my friend :)

Fantastic pics Todd :) I'd have shelled out $125 for the double-bit axe, why did anyone have to make it into 'art', that's quite a price tag?! :D
