Wonderful knife, looks new!
Surely has never been carried much for sure. It had some carbon spots on the main that needed some attention though. Thank you !☺️

Absolutely a prize, Rob! Such nice condition to boot.
A 294 by any other name...
Model 913 on the back of the main, stamped in the same font and size as my 294 Schrade. If you turn the Primble and Schrade over where the pile side is up, other than the bolster flutes on the Schrade, they look identical. Thanks Jeff !😊
It's not too difficult to score lovely old antiques as long as your heart isn't set on perfect condition. This one's got a couple of blades broken off, but the remaining sheepsfoot is perfectly usable. I've always liked the way a curved shield looks on a congress pattern, and with the nice bone, I went for it.

I also kinda assumed "pick bone" refers to the process of hand jigging with a pick, or maybe the way the bone looks picked at. I can't remember hearing any other theories, but I don't mind admitting if I'm wrong.

The two blades that remain are really nice and full Rachel, and the ones that I would want it to retain. Wonder how one snaps off two blades on the same ole knife ?
Didn't learn much the first time, did they ? 🤣
Great catch yourself there Rob 🤩:thumbsup:
Always lookin’ for any 294… and comin’ up snake-eyes !!

Just had to get these two together, as I’ll be carrying the blue one around.
Today’s pic for Mic-Monday…
