What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

It took me a few minutes to get it, simply because you have some one-offs and I figured I just hadn't seen that one before.

Lol... 🤣
I figured it was a prototype that we hadn't seen before... until I remembered the day.

Wright's actually slipped that one past me twice John. The first time, after the owner swore to me that he'd thoroughly checked over all the knives personally (so I didn't have to unwrap them all):

I had to take it back over to Sheffield, and wait for the bolster to be replaced, which I was promised had been done. Picked it up with a bunch of other knives, and got home to find this

One of those fellers who, if he tells you it's raining outside, you want to check first

I have a plan for the knife I will put into formulation at some point ;)
That's a super pretty knife, Jack. 🤠

Those two pair perfectly. You've got all your blade shapes covered. 🤠
Thanks pal :)
Good Morning Porch Friends
Still riding with this #71. I love the rustic look, the feel in-hand, and the improved blade shape.
That looks good with the Micarta covers John, Bart did a nice job of modding it :)

Worked on me Mr. Jack !!! 😲
Worked on Rachel too !!! 🤣🤣🤣

Had me lookin' every day to see the Flitzed version ! 🤣🙈🙉🤣
LOL! :D It'd take a lot of Flitz to take that stamping out! :D
Terrific trio Mr P  Who is the maker of the Doctor's Knife, if you don't mind my asking?

Thank you Mr. Jack ! ☺️

It's a baby doctor John Primble India Steel Works (1890-1940), so hard to say who actually made it for Belknap Hardware. ☺️ Judging from the bone wear, I would guess closer to 1890 than 1940.

Carrying this lloyd today, well its actually riding on the end table next to me where its been the past few days. Been down and out since sunday morning. Finally feeling better. Now to catch up on all the threads here. Have a good day everyone! 20220405_095226_copy_519x449.jpg

That is such a cool knife 🤠:thumbsup::thumbsup:

I agree, John. It’s handy for all sorts of small cutting tasks. Most of the time I’ll pair it with a larger single blade knife.

This here #86 today

Looks like you’ve been putting that Angus Jack to good use! 😎

Thanks Barrett. One of the nice things about lionSTEEL is they use great materials, so you can't go too far wrong.:)

I’ve got one in natural micarta (with the clip point). They’re great knives. I’m hoping at some point Mike will get another batch in ram’s horn so I can’t pick up another.

That was my subtle April Fool's joke Mr P, went down like a lead balloon! :D

That’s great, Jack! 🤣 Sadly I must have missed it altogether on the 1st.

I imagine that’s the sort of thing that you don’t miss at all about doing the Guardians knives. 😳😉

Yes it is, Barrett. It needed some work!

Looks like you put a nice new edge on it. Were you able to tighten up the pivot pin?

Yep, it will shave now. That edge was as rounded as a butter knife. But it looks like it had never been used, which begs the question of how they managed to spread the joint like that.
I peined the hinge pin and got it tightened up, but it’s cockeyed a little, which prevents the lock from engaging the utility blade. Ok to use, but one of these days I should break it open and put a new pin in. One of those elusive “spare time” things.😁
