My first work day in over a week and I brought my new lambfoot. I’ll have the IRJ on me all week in celebration of opening day on Thursday, my favorite day of the year
Nice pairing Jon, congratulations on the new Lamb :)
Thank you kindly, Jack!!! :)

Fantastic pairing for your Monday, adding that sweet sterling William Rodgers to your Hartshead Barlow beauty; have a great week! ;) 😁
Thank you very much JJ, I hope you have a great week too :)
Carrying a little stag today.

Good to see you here Woodrow
Grabbed these two for "box duty" Monday. :)
Pity the box! :D Those two bad boys are sure to get the job done my friend, and in considerable style :)
Thank you Mr. Jack ! I thought that you said you Flitzed that Hartshead Barlow ? 🤔🤔🤔🤔😇
That was my subtle April Fool's joke Mr P, went down like a lead balloon! :D

Better give it the boot mate😱😊
Nice 1s Jack
LOL! Thanks mate :D
:p👍
I had to go check my HHB to make sure it had a pile side bolster stamp.
Are you sure you not just being kind to me? :D

More successful was my claim, among a few friends, that a pal of ours who moved to Poland, a year ago, had been conscripted into a Polish Dad's Army unit, the Pierwsky Kwietnia Batallion. It was so successful, that my pal has suggested that we ask folks to send out bottles of whisky to him, whisky having been discovered to be a useful addition to Molotov Cocktails

It's not too difficult to score lovely old antiques as long as your heart isn't set on perfect condition. This one's got a couple of blades broken off, but the remaining sheepsfoot is perfectly usable. I've always liked the way a curved shield looks on a congress pattern, and with the nice bone, I went for it.

I also kinda assumed "pick bone" refers to the process of hand jigging with a pick, or maybe the way the bone looks picked at. I can't remember hearing any other theories, but I don't mind admitting if I'm wrong.

You do know I wasn’t arguing with you, right? It was a case of “Ok. This is what it looks like, so why do they call it that?”
Is that the Pal you picked up in Janesville?

I’m carrying this splitback #13 in Muslin Micarta for Micarta Monday.

Yes it is, Barrett. It needed some work!

That Sheepsfoot Jack with the end caps is absolutely fantastic! One of the best looking knives they've ever built. 🤠
Those two pair perfectly together. 🤠
Glad to see you putting it to work.
The antler bead looks great on the slip.
That's what I plan to do with the one you gave me.

It took me a few minutes to get it, simply because you have some one-offs and I figured I just hadn't seen that one before.
That's a super pretty knife, Jack. 🤠

Lol... 🤣
I figured it was a prototype that we hadn't seen before... until I remembered the day.
Those two pair perfectly. You've got all your blade shapes covered. 🤠

Exactly! And without the extra bulk of putting all three blades in one stockman!
Hmm.
But the two knives are stronger, because the pivot pins are shorter!
Anyway, two beautiful knives are better than one.

But thanks. I like the pairing a lot.

The two blades that remain are really nice and full Rachel, and the ones that I would want it to retain. Wonder how one snaps off two blades on the same ole knife ?
Didn't learn much the first time, did they ?
It's hard to fathom prying with a nice little penknife in the first place. Then after breaking off a blade, thinking "Darn! I guess this is my prying tool now." 😒

Oh yes, I was agreeing and speculating, too.👍
