That’s next on my list of Opinel sizes to pick up. Not sure why I’ve been pacing myself picking up all the sizes in carbon steel — it’s not like they’re that expensive — but right now I’ve got No. 5 through No. 9.



I’m not familiar with the maker, but perhaps I should be. Good looking knife.

Different cigar box, different knives. Case 62048S from 1970, and Camillus 68 from I don’t know when, but it has a short line tang stamp, so it’s pretty old. Cold for late April.

I mean really, I saw not one single kid out there with the size and the skill to go anywhere... except for my kid of course.

Well, my wonderful wife and I marked 41 years today. I’m blessed beyond what I deserve.
Thought I’d share this pic of my portehouse steak at dinner. Don’t worry, under the charred exterior, it’s properly bloody rare. And the roasted vegetables were killer.View attachment 1801866
And the three of us have enough left over that I don’t need to cook tomorrow!
