Good looking steak!
Well, I posted it late, Ed. I hear ya on the Old Man Domain. Today I left a burner going on the stove. The smoke pointed it out!Happy 41st anniversary to JeffAmir Fleschwund . Don't know how I missed it yesterday Jeff. I think I've entered the "Dottering Old Man" domain.
Nice homage to the classic Cattaraugus 225Quartetmaster!

Nice pair. Is that Camillus sporting bone covers?Different cigar box, different knives. Case 62048S from 1970, and Camillus 68 from I don’t know when, but it has a short line tang stamp, so it’s pretty old. View attachment 1802108View attachment 1802109Cold for late April.
Thanks! I decided to make it a Double Boker Day.Thank you, Rachel, and your Boker triggered an irresistible compulsion to get out a stockman today. That’s a real knife ya got there.
I like it a lot. It holds an edge at least as well as my 5160 Buck 110.How do you like that Toferner knife? Does it hold an edge alright?
Happy (late) anniversary, Jeff!!Well, my wonderful wife and I marked 41 years today. I’m blessed beyond what I deserve.
Thought I’d share this pic of my portehouse steak at dinner. Don’t worry, under the charred exterior, it’s properly bloody rare. And the roasted vegetables were killer.View attachment 1801866
And the three of us have enough left over that I don’t need to cook tomorrow!
Beautiful EJ, Bart. Wish more parents would read and heed signs like this.I had my Eureka in my pocket today

and a fun evening of Little League. I love these signs.

Thanks John. It sure comes in handy. It's a beauty!![]()
Sounds like an excellent performer, especially for what those go for. Very cool!I like it a lot. It holds an edge at least as well as my 5160 Buck 110.
I don't know if it is their standard edge geometry, but the edge on mine are 10 DPS. (saved me a bunch of time not having to reprofile to 10DPS.) Bevels on both sides are even. To date, the edge hasn't chipped or rolled. "Hardest" use so far has been to whittle off a 2" diameter dry dead pine branch.
I've carried it every day since in arrived on October 04, 2021. No issues with rust. I think I've hit it once with my guided rod sharpener, that has a 10° slot. I may have dry stropped it (no compounds) maybe three times, because I was bored.
From what I was able to find online about the steel, it is a Czechoslovakian high wear resistant spring steel used for rail car springs, among other applications.
I don't know what the rockwell hardness is. I'd guess at least as high as Buck runs their 5160.
Great knives Gary, love the Turkey shot.Back to these two today. Tossed a handful of birdseed in the yard so the Turkeys would let me take a picture.
