What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Nice >>-Arrow-> !
Thank you, Steve!
Bizarre huh? There was about 5 days set-up involved on an isolated farm, with all sorts of practical jobs to do, as well as all the cooking, and not one of them thought to bring a knife (or a can-opener, or a bottle-opener). Fortunately I had a few  I gave a SAK to a friend's daughter a few years back, when she was going on a school's trip/expedition to Ecuador for 3 months. There were about a hundred kids there, average age 17 or 18, from all over the world, and she had the only knife/bottle-opener/can-opener too. Incredible isn't it?! o_O  😖
Mankind is doomed.
- a rather good day out today...........fine weather and fine fishing.

Looks so nice!

Been a busy week here. At least my hens are laying some eggs. Between high school football spring practice, my son’s basketball practices and my daughters dance classes I’m ready for the weekend! 😂😂

On a really cool side note, one of our regular porch members Jeremy aka sbh06 sbh06 reached out and asked if I wanted some slips sent my way. I couldn’t say no. These slips are a thing of beauty!!! Wow! I can’t wait to use one tomorrow…now which knife to carry…Thanks again man! I definitely owe you a 🍺!!!

2-Blade Knife of the Week is a Rough Ryder Zorro Moose. The "moose" name is appropriate for this solidly-built, heavyweight folder.

Miscellaneous Knife of the Week is this Victorinox paring knife. When I became re-interested in traditional knives back in 2014, I "vowed" that I would stay away from fixed blade knives, since there were more folding knife patterns than I could ever hope to "master". I wonder if getting this paring knife (and an Otter paring knife that recently arrived) means I've broken my vow.

Thanks, John. It's one of the first knives I acquired when I decided to start collecting. Good steel, I think. Takes a keen edge anyway.

Today I carried a Tidioute moose that has seen some use. RR bone sowbelly stockman got pocket space as well.

Solid knives Greg. How did the renovations turn out?
It’s only weird if it doesn’t work
It worked last night for sure! 😄👍
Other than inventory, this will be my last Friday of work for the year.

Mine to Jiki, it’s a good feeling isn’t it?

Thanks for the kind words, Taylor. I hope that you will get many years of use out of them.

Beautiful knives, and an awesome work plan as well. 6 months worth of three (and some four) day weekends is something I would look forward to as well.

Black Friday here, working from the house while the floors in our office are stripped and polished. Hope everyone's Friday goes quickly so the weekend can get started.
