You're all set for a fabulous weekend with this great selection of slicers; based on what I read you chose an amazing village to spend a few days at, have a blast Jack!I'm going to be away for a few days from tomorrow morning, staying in a beautiful old village called Castleton in the English Peak District national park. I don't think the internet signal is very good out there, so any posts I'm able to make will be fleeting, but I will have a few knives with meWishing everyone a great weekend

Thanks, and I agree these copper bolstered Barlows are real lookers. This knife is nice and snappy, about a 5 pull which seems right for the size. No gaps, rap, or wobble. All in all I think this is a great effort by Boker. Not sure I love the acid wash but I’m getting used to it.Beautiful AnW, any first impressions?
Please excuse my ignorance but can the acid wash be removed with Flitz? Thanks, and I agree these copper bolstered Barlows are real lookers. I think so. Pretty sure I’ve seen someone who’s done that. I figured I’d give it a bit of time though. Please excuse my ignorance but can the acid wash be removed with Flitz?
Great pair today, John. My boys are watching Spaceballs as I post this, looks like I got something right in raising them.
Love the jigging on that, Joel. Sometimes I wish I hadn’t parted with mine.
Thanks, John.Beautiful Queen knife.![]()
The knife doesn’t even come close to Mason! Pits are imho the best dogs and then some! My wife and rescued a pit a few years ago and he’s a wonderful addition to our family. There no bad dog’s only questionable owners. This is our LouiePre-staged French Friday today, and just couldn't hold onto the pics. Shoot
OH HEY LOOK OVER HERE !!! ... i'm a flower ...

Mason acts just like a 10 year old (11 in September) ... sometimes
EDIT: Mason is a purebred American Pit Bull Terrier. Dual registered with the UKC and ADBA
He is 100% Colby dog top and bottom ALL the way back with no outs or crosses. Mason's Online Pedigree (clickable names, to follow back to the very beginnings of the APBT)
Mason is old and out of shape now but when he was much younger, I did take him to a few Registry Sanctioned Events
While he showed well and brought home some ribbons, he just didn't enjoy the long car rides and waits in confined spaces for his turn in the ring
If he didn't have fun I wasn't going to do it and we stopped going to events. I never intended to breed or campaign him anyway. He's just a fine pet and companion
Traditional knives and a pure traditional all American dog ... like owning a bit of history
John Colby pioneered and stewarded the American Pit Bull Terrier breed from the 1880's until his passing in the 1940's. His son, Lou Colby took over the Colby family dog breeding at that point.
Lou Colby passed away in 2011 and his grandson, Pete, now breeds Colby friendly, loving, companion and pet dogs. In fact, a bellymate brother of Mason's is in Pete's Colby breeding program in Newburyport, Massachusetts
Mason looks just like some of the early Colby APBT dogs.
AND THE KNIFE !!! ... Forge de Laguiole (they also own Nontron) 11cm / 4.33in closed
The art work on the knife is by Seize Happywallmaker ... He is a famed French Street-art and Graffiti Artist, born in Paris in 1971. A self-taught artist, Seize is considered one of the best in the world of street art designs.
His unique style makes any of his work instantly recognizable. An actual existing wall inspired the handle of this knife.
