Doh! TheIt’s funny, FC, but when I saw your name ephsea, before reading your post, I thought “I’ll bet his initials are F.C.
Regarding getting to know names ~ I put my actual name, Jeff, as a signature that is supposed to show automatically when I post. Not sure if it still does, because I can’t see it in my phone.

I like the drop point blade on that sodbuster. I don’t reckon I’ve ever seen AG Russell’s version. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for sharing your story with us.Attached is my carry for the last couple of days, and a little elaboration..
I grew up in the 70’s and 80’s and most of my knives I carried were primarily what I considered “weapons” cheap NATO OTF knives, balisongs, pointy/stabby knives, etc. the modern tactical knives had not really come along yet but if they had it would have been right up my alley. Then after I got a little older, and after going into a new phase in my life I realized after some reflection that for me a knife is not really the best choice for self defense (that’s what my concealed carry pistols are for) but a knife is primarily meant to be a “cutting tool”
I know this sounds silly, but it was a realization that I came to that changed my direction and philosophy on knives and set the direction for my collecting that still continues today.
I desired to get a new knife that was designed as a good cutting tool, and one that reminded me of the old Colonial stockman that I had as a kid and lost. So I purchased this Buck 373 back in 2006 (I believe due to the date stamp) and started trying to perfect my sharpening skills etc. while this is a Chinese made Buck, and is really not anything extra special, it is special to me because it was my first of what would become many in my renewed interest and search for good quality effective cutting tool, and I like to think of this one as where my current collection started
Outstanding carry today Gary.Going to be another hot one today.Jack Black , hope you find a way to keep cool, Jack! That's some brutal heat you are getting.
Carrying my Eureka Jack and a "Little David" from Bud Nealy today. When I bought the Nealy it was partly because my little brother's name is David. It turned out to be a handy and unobtrusive companion.

Yes, I enjoy hearing different dialects.I see that on sale ads ~ “Good Runner. Needs Fixed.” or on ebay, etc. and want to tell them ~ “TO BE!” “You forgot the danged verb!”
Never realized it might be a regional thing.
I had an aunt who always slipped an r into words like wash...
Same here RachelYes, I enjoy hearing different dialects.
The car needs warshed, and these knives need sharpened.
