That Giant Mouse looks nice. Is it worth the price?
Without getting into details, I got this off our Exchange from a member that let it go for around 30% less then what you see on the web. I like it a lot and probably would have bought one anyway. Really nicely made, and the sheath is awesome.

I really appreciate you sharing your old Camillus, Schrade Cut Co, and Cattaraugus collection, Rob.

I found this Sword Brand EO jack a few years ago to match Grandpa’s knife, which I don’t want to carry.
My Grandpa’s family came from Scotland, and found work in the Eastern Tennesse coal mines. His father was killed in a huge mine disaster in 1906, leaving his Mom to raise three boys and a daughter. She took in washing and other odd jobs, raised a huge garden, and the boys hunted small game and foraged wild plants like watercress, dandelion, huckleberries, etc to survive. At some point, he left home and made his way. I’m not sure when, probably in the ā€˜20s or ā€˜30s, he saved up and bought a Camillus Sword Brand Jackknife, which he carried for the rest of his life. I remember sitting on his lap and him letting me handle it. That is the knife with which he showed me how to sharpen a blade.
When he passed, Grandma gave me his knives. His old jack had a lot of sharpening wear, and the secondary spring had broken, but it was HIS knife, and I think he carried it to the end.
This one makes a good user, and brings me good memories.
Used it yesterday in the garden. Cleaned off some plant residue, re-oiled it, and got it again today.View attachment 1873892

Hi friends! Been a few weeks! I was in Mexico for vacation and I had this Pioneer SAK on me the whole time. My trip got cut short because I contracted ā€œthe vidā€ and I’m back home recovering. Logging back onto Bladeforums and seeing Charlie’s 2022 Bladeforums thread and his proposed knife sure made me a whole lot happier when I needed it though! Hope everyone is doing well and as soon as I’m feeling a bit better I’m looking forward to spending a lot more time here on the porch and Bladeforums again 😃

Love the handle textures on that pair, JJ!:thumbsup::thumbsup:
Thanks a lot, Gary!!! :)
Thanks for the additional info about, and photo of, your Black Box stockman, Will. :):thumbsup: It's a beauty; I always prefer a stockman with a smooth, slender profile. I'm glad to have a sowbelly stockman from the Black Box series.

I hope you recover soon. A month long cough was my present for getting over it

Thank you sir. A month long cough is unfortunate 😣. I’m on day 5 and I’m feeling much better. It’s been 4 days without a fever so I think I’m mostly in the clear. Just gna spend a few more days resting, staying hydrated, and taking my vitamins then I’ll test myself again and hopefully it’ll come out negative. I still don’t have all my energy there quite yet not my normal enthusiasm to play with my Knives so once that aspect returns I know I’ll be close to 100%
