What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Hope you're starting to feel better Ed, great-looking pair there
Thanks, Jack … it’s a stubborn one, but I’m makin headway!
I missed you Ed and looks like you came back with a fine pair !☺️

Nice pocket slip too !

Since I first tried a pocket slip, I have become a big fan and use them all the time. I saw where a slip hater on some other thread said that his knives kept flying out of his slip. It only takes a small amount of thinking to figure out that one should give the slip a light squeeze, as you pull it out of your pocket. ( just in case you pulled it out upside down ) I had knives slipping out of my pocket all the time before I used the slips.
Thank you, Sir! Today’s the first day I’ve even felt inclined to post, so takin’ that as a good sign …
I am also a slip fan … since the aesthetics of a knife are part of the enjoyment to me, I try to keep ‘em from gettin too beat up … never had one slide out unexpectedly … maybe a sizing issue? I do have a couple different sizes …

I’ve yet to try a slip but I’m planning on making one shortly. I do basic leather craft, but I don’t do any embossing. Maybe I could incorporate a stropping side to the slip if I sink the threads... hmm have to ponder it some more.

Have a nice day.
A swayback of Jean-François Moretti a Corsican knife maker, (G10 and w2 steel) today.

What's the knife on the right? I think it's really cool and reminds me of knives from my youth back in the 50s and 60s.

It’s an Imperial two blade jack——probably from the 60s. I enjoy Imperial knives and buy every one that I can that’s in good shape and at a reasonable price. I refuse to pay $25 for a knife that originally sold for a dollar and a quarter; I bought this one and a Kutmaster Barlow for $12 late this Spring.

We pick up these two does on Sunday! Put some posts in the ground letting the concrete cure. Then I will be fencing them up a nice little pen.
