What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Having ended the experiment and going back to my sinfull ways as an incurable knife knut, I have my daily rotation with me. In addition to my ever present Wenger SI in its belt pouch with the LED light, I have my old yellow peanut back in my right pocket. My classic is back on my keyring, and I feel like all is back as it should be. And in memory of my dear old Uncle Paul, I even tucked a very old Christy knife in my tobacco pouch, just in case.

What are you guys carrying today?
Hey fellas, can someone tell me how to join? I've been unsuccessful so far. Thanks

First post, been reading for a few years. This comment sparked me to finally join in with you gentlemen. What a loaded question. Nothings better than Grandmamas pie, but can't tell Mom,she got her recipe from Grandmama..A bit about me, been carrying a CASE since Grandaddy gave me my first pocket knife in '78. Sadly, I lost it, along with the SAK he gave me the next year. But, after his passing in '01, I inherited his 72 Ranchero, that he'd "given" me at breakfast. Long story. We use to have big Sunday morning breakfasts at Grandaddy and Grandmamas. Going through it, i found a Western 901, vaguely remembered him using it. But it did register. It's the old Boulder stamp. After ther that, my Dad gave me his old L66 from the Boy Scouts. Dad bought me and my twin brother L66's from Kuester hardware in 1980. D tang stamp. I've skinned a lot of deer with it. Mine and Dads L66, and Grandaddys 901 are the top of my display case. I've learned a lot here, and the wealth of information and Craftsmanship is amazing. Hope everyone is having a wonderful Sunday.

I’m glad my comment triggered you into making your first post. Welcome.

An awful lot of us have fond memories of our elders and the knives they used, and if we’re really blessed, we have a knife or two that we’ve inherited.
Thanks for sharing you memories.

Regarding your second post, perhaps you mean “Paid Subscriptions”? You’ll find that as the very last entry under the forum menu, which is accessed by clicking on the little square of three horizontal lines at the left end of the blue banner at the top of the page.

Your slips are works of art themselves, John! Thanks again!
That's very kind of you, Gary. :)
That's a nice one John.
Thank you, ED. :)
Very thoughtful :) Couldn't have gone to a nicer guy
Thank for the kind words, Jack. :)
It appears we carried the same jack knife in high school, and share the same fond memories.
Yes, I either had the Jack or the Stockman in my pocket. They even helped me castrate pigs one day.
That's enough blades to get you through the whole month. ;)
Two Terrific Tidioutes. 🤠:thumbsup::thumbsup:
That was a gift!!?? Wow. Very Generous
Trust me, I was as shocked as you are. ;)
Those Imperial Barlows were some well made pocket knives. 🤠
What is hiding under the porch???

Been a few weeks since I've posted here, busy summer. I need to slow down a snap a daily knife pic or two. :)
Carried the Case Bros. chestnut bone whittler all week and added the Fight'n Rooster as well on Friday.
Carrying a GEC acrylic 29 stockyard whittler while relaxing in the backyard and flinging some arrows today.View attachment 1886731View attachment 1886732View attachment 1886735
