Any day with the wife at a gun range with knives included, followed by some good Italian food is always a good day.I took Mrs. Crappie to the range today so she could do some shooting. She had this Victorinox Edelweiss 580 with her. Then we went to the local Italian Bistro to get supper. A pretty good day!

Chilled, sliced with salt and fresh cracked black pepper works too. Now I am thinking about good food that goes with fresh tomatoes. Fried chicken, fresh off the cob cream corn, butter beans, corn bread and chilled cukes is a meal that is always a winner. Yeah, the docs don't agree but that is ok too.Micarta mod Monday?View attachment 1893928View attachment 1893926
While washing up my bucket and trowels after a day of tiling ~ no, not done, but slogging along ~ I thought I’d better get into the tomato jungle.
My favorite variety is called Mortgage Lifter, and we’ll be buried in them soon. The big one in the basket weighed 1.5 lb.
BLTs for supper tonight.View attachment 1893929
CFS with white gravy and mashed potatoes - Lord have mercy!Well, it's off to the doctor again this morning. I yearn for the days when I could go for a year or more without getting poked in strange places. Oh well. Grin and bear it I suppose. To put me in a good mood, I've brought out my Buck 301 with Black Burlap Micarta to carry. Nice and slim but heavy duty enough to do what I might need at the hospital. Afterwards, there will be the usual stops with emphasis on the Wagon Wheel Cafe - Chicken Fried Steak with mashed potatoes and white gravy. You guys and gals have a good day and if anyone waves a finger at ya just pucker up and don't turn your back on them no matter what.

Looks like fun Barrett, that pizza looks yummy! That’s great!
Good to hear their putting those 5 million + CCTV cameras to good use…
Sorry to hear about your bike @Johnnythefox
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again (probably every time someone posts one): that #77 there is one of the best knives GEC ever made.
Definitely a good one!

We drove down to Arkansas yesterday (we’re spending the week visiting family), and met up with my father-in-law this morning at a local car show. There was an eclectic mix of cars there, but unfortunately I didn’t take very many pictures.
This is my father-in-law’s car.

Perhaps subconsciously influenced by the Bluesmobile, we had Chicago-style pizza for dinner. I was carrying my #71 Sudbuster again today, but I brought a couple different knives with me, so I might change it up throughout the week.

Thanks Bart, we’re having a great time.Dang, he’s got some hops! If he’s anything like my son, he’s probably pretty bummed to see a skatepark with no board.I hope you’re enjoying your trip, Todd.
Gorgeous country Bart, hope you get some fishing in.I’ve been carrying these two for the past couple of days on our annual camping trip with my wife’s family.
