What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

I decided this morning to carry only a modern folder, but after lunch this little guy found his way into my pocket nonetheless. :)

Many thanks JJ, it's great to see those two wonderful Whittlers together, certainly plenty of blade options 😎🙂👍
Thanks a lot, Jack!!! The blade variety has been handy today! :)👍
Hope everyone had a great weekend, and that the coming week goes well for you 👍 I'm afraid I'm laid low with sciatica, so please excuse the hastily-taken pic 👍

Your Lambsfoot is always an outstanding choice for a one blade day; sorry to hear the sciatica reared its ugly head again, hope you're better soon!:(👍👍

That's some stunning scenery 😎👍
Thanks, Jack. I’ve been there a bunch of times and it’s still stunning every time.
Glad you got some good camping trips in this Summer. 🤠
Thanks, John. That’s the last one for this summer.
Perfect setting for camping and relaxing
Yes it is! It’s the same place we’ve been camping with my wife’s family every year for over 12 years.
Gorgeous country Bart, hope you get some fishing in. 😎👍
Thanks, Todd. In the past I’ve caught them in the lake and the creek. This year I just helped the kids fish in the lake, with no luck.
Thanks John. Driving the road to Hana today, should be a good test drive. 😎🤙
Enjoy the drive today. It’s a beautiful one. Hopefully you stop for some banana bread on the side of the road. 👍

Most of my quotes are from Saturday and later, but these are cool photos from Friday, Todd, showing off your kid's leaping ability. I still play basketball a couple of times a week, but I haven't played "above the rim" like that since ... Wait, I NEVER played above the rim!😁
I know what you mean Gary, I can’t give him a game anymore, not even close! 🤣
I'm away on vacation for a couple of weeks, so I have a weird choice of knives with me - kind of whatever struck my fancy as I spent 15 minutes grabbing semi-random knives. Here are 2 of them.
Rough Ryder bow trapper that I've hardly used at all since getting it in May. I thought a couple of weeks of vacation would give me some chances to see how I like it. After trying to use it for food prep on Monday, I decided I like how it fits my hand, but I don't like the saber grind for cutting through "thick stuff" - dicing a big sweet onion, slicing summer sausage, etc.

This Otter Messer paring knife with thin, flat grind blade worked much better for the tasks the previous knife wasn't adept at:

I bet it was still a great time. 😎👍

It was a great drive, so glad we did it, and of course we grabbed some banana bread, one for the trip and one for breakfast tomorrow! 🤣👍
Case/Bose Eureka and Boker Brook.
