What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Love the punch on your 85.
By the time they got around to building mine (not one of Charlie's SFO's or the BF knife), they had run out of that punch, so mine got the Robeson punch instead.

(The Robeson punch works better than the Imperial-Schrade/Ulster/Camillus punch, IMHO. I'm guessing yours may be a little more effective than the Robeson.)

I planted a lot of sunflowers this spring, but in random edge places where they’ve struggled competing with all of my other prairie plants. But chipmunks stole seeds from our birdfeeders and planted them in places where they’d be succesful ~ my garden. I had to pull a lot of them, but left them wherever they wouldn’t compete with my vegetables. And they’ve grown huge. And actually look awesome in the garden.
I also have large patches of milkweed from seeds gathered in the wild, because I’ve heard about the struggles of Monarch butterflies. They sure like the sunflowers and zinnias, though. Hummingbirds, too, but they’re difficult to photogtaph.

My favorite variety, Mortgage Lifter, which got it’s odd name from the gentleman in West Virginia who developed the strain and paid off his mortgage by selling plants during the Depression. The taste is out of this world.ADC6A2B3-C58C-495C-A0D8-3C08ADF57F62.jpeg

Have a nice one!

Gorgeous! 😍 … can you provide some details on this beauty?
The angled bolsters make me think 53 or 54 pattern somewhere around 2011, but I don’t remember that blade combination … ?

Ed G, that is the #530411 Cuban Castro, with 4 straight-edged blades.
You both nailed it. Awesome pattern if you like straight edge blades, which I do.

High plains drifter (look at those fields) or coffee with the Rolling Stones you decide 😁

Little circular ride around Newbury to a favourite Cafe stop.

loyalty card stamped full so I got a free flat white it only cost me about £200s in petrol 🤣

Sitting outside reading this book (still haven't finished it) some times I have to read a page 2 or 3 times to take it all in.

He joined at 16 he's only 18 in these paragraphs and he's seen 2 years of combat.

Unlike all those special forces books, this is written in a modest, very truthful way warts and all.

The way he describes when they run away from the Germans really got to me,it wasnt cowardice it was survival.

He does not just give all the heroic highlights.

When he talks about what you are supposed to do,reminded me of when a sniper was shooting at me in Sarajevo.

At first training from 20 years ago kicked I and I zig zagged, then I realised I was way to slow and it was quicker to run straight.

So I did he missed so I was right 😁

Oh and isn't my Forum knife looking purty in the occasional sunshine,I still appreciate owning and using it.😍

Hello friends, got this trusty 71 with me today. I’m leaving on a short trip to the Coachella valley tomorrow and might just drag this one along. It’s sharpened to 17 degrees on my wicked edge and it’s still wicked sharp after slicing through countless apples. Will likely throw it on the Vice and strop it back to whittling sharp when I’m back from my trip 😃 it’s such a great user 💯

Mail Call ... and going through the bonding phase
CASE 101011 Black Canvas Laminate Hawkbill
Centering is okay but not "perfect. I'll have to learn to sharpen a Hawkbill

EDIT: Centering was VERY easily corrected while at the half stop. No idea why anyone would even need a nail nick on this beast
Closed, the blade sticks up so high, I think you could sail it LOL
Found more blade play than expected but probably won't correct. It strictly a working kind of knife
EDIT2: Okay, did correct most of the blade play because it always bothers me regardless
No blade play when opened and have to hunt for it when closed.
The born on date found on the box end was a Friday, 03/25/22 ... must have been a long week
