What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Thought about Old FRIENDS FRIDAY and light work today to get ready for company this week end and decided to go with My First Gec which is Ol Red , a 77 Barlow and also My First GEC Stag a 73 . I got each one of them in 2015 and carried them both a lot back then . Back then arizonaranchman arizonaranchman , Ron , and I said that we would carry our Ol Reds every day for a year . We did not really pull that off . Two knives that have served me well and I will have for a while yet .

Thank you very much Todd . It will be a great one especially if we get the predicted rain . There are some spots on our lawn that really need it , but I understand that some areas are worse off than we are .
Take care my friend .
Really like your Davison .

Great picture, it really shows off the knife well. 🤠
Thanks, John.
Sun is out this morning but the temperature is down about 5º . Nothing planned for today. Sausage and pancakes for breakfast after which, I've got some minor maintenance to do on the lawn tractor. Oh, we had a scorpion in the kitchen last night but Cindy stomped on it before I could get a picture. We'll have to keep a watch for another one over the next few days.

I really enjoy hearing about daily life in a rural town, Ed (and the knives that accompany it). Having driven through there (and Lakeview and Klamath Falls) many times I can picture your days when you describe them.
Scout and Rooster today.

Looking good, Paul. GEC pretty much has the vintage look figured out.
Had this one with me at work today. View attachment 1904907

Is that a normal lanyard apparatus on that knife or was that a safety precaution for the holes in the drain?

Sorry for copying but I found your 607 too beautiful on your beautiful pictures, they made me want to buy one.
I think the line of this grafter is superb.
Have a great birthday with your grandchildren, these are wonderful moments to enjoy 😊

That's a great pair, with some good history, Harry :) Nice story too my friend :) I hope you have a lovely weekend, and that you get that much-needed rain

I like this one
Thanks my friend, I had some friends visiting Paris, and they wanted to bring me back a knife. Jolipapa Jolipapa was very helpful in terms of recommendations, and the Violon was assembled from old stock from Issard. I've been very pleased with it, and should find room in my pocket for it more often :)
