On Saturday, someone was telling us how urgently important it was to get the latest Iphone security update ASAP.
I had tried to download and install it a while ago,but couldn’t because my phone did not have enough memory left. And reading about the update, I saw that they said the phone would do facial recognition with a stupid mask on my face, and I don’t wear masks, so who cares?
Well, they say there’s some horrible hacking vulnerability, so this time I thought I’d delete some photos to free up memory. Started out by deleting a couple hundred… nope. Finally had to dump close to three thousand photos to nake it work. 99% of them were knife photos. All gone. And I don’t save them on a computer or some sky cloud, so they are gone period.But hey! I still have the knives. And I thought it was better to keep photos of family instead of things.

So it looks like they “fixed” a bunch of things that I was used to. I’m blaming my double post on that

Love that pair, Jon. I didn’t realize how much I’d like the 12 until I picked one up from bigfish64 Todd a while back. It didn’t take long to realize how great that pattern is, though it seems to be generally unloved by most.

Been in the same boat. It’s a hassle, but the family photos stay and the knife pics get dumped. Reaffirms we’re not totally lost to the hobby.

I understand. Seems like anytime an "update" happens, things grind to a halt for a while. I do dump phone photos to laptop since I have lost important photos due to phone issues.

A couple year search finally resulted in landing both of these, which just arrived today.
Going to let my son decide which one will eventually be his (he's 4) before I drop the other one in the pocket!
