My weekend was spent canning. Saturday, I cooked up and canned 15 quarts of salsa ~ half mango salsa, and half black bean salsa. Sunday, I made two huge kettles of my version of V8 juice. Roughly 100 pounds of tomatoes, celery, beets, garlic, parsley, watercress, and spinach. I had to buy the celery because mine isn’t big enough yet, and the parsley and watercress because I didn’t grow those. That filled 11 half gallon, and eight quart mason jars. I ran out of time, so I stuck them all in the freezer for now. I use this juice when I make beef vegetable soup and chili during the wintet.

What we can’t eat or can gets given to friends.
Wow, Jeff !!! Your garden harvest are impressive my friend. Equally impressive is the work you put into canning and preserving the harvest. I imagine your winter time meals are as delicious as the summer ones, ...... especially if you're still smoking meat in the cold months.

I pocketed a stockman and harness jack for today.

We're staying at home today and will start putting the yard materials up for the coming winter. Scrambled eggs, sausage, and cinnamon raisin toast for breakfast. I'll use this knife while outside today. Some of you will remember it as the knife I used for my knife on a woodshed tin roof experiment to see how micarta stood up to the elements.

It did just fine and cleaned up real nice. The micarta is a bit - just a bit faded but still nice looking.

Billy Barlow worked hard today cutting rhubarb in half so it fitted in my tank bag. 😆

I took it to France looks like its coming on my next road trip to Spain as well.

I bought a 2AB thinking that stainless is less bother when travelling, trouble is I just find it to perfect, yes I know it doesnt make sense.

Perhaps if someone knows someone in the UK who could put wooden scales on the 2AB for me and make it more alive?

The author explains his methods on the web page. You are free to examine that at your leisure. 😉 I am going to step away from the conversation, I don't feel like dealing with the "internet" today. In addition I feel I have already done more research than the original poster has done. However that's the way now I guess just ask before you look yourself. 😉
Not my intention to cause stress or criticize, far from it. Just genuinely interested in possible anomalies, and, when people ask questions they will inevitably expect a variety of answers, experiences or points of view .;)

Nothing you said or did Will. I just knew what my day was going to be like and that it would be better for me to step away. 👍

Today's carry not much different from yesterday. Grabbed this one for MM, haven't been carrying this alot lately, since I bought two 85-ish handbuilts, so wanted to feed it some apples and bottlecaps. Hope porch Mondays were as well as can be expected? That's all I can say for mine.
