What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Feeling "Nautical" today. I don't know why. We're roughly 300-miles inland from the ocean and almost all of the reservoirs are critically low on water what with the drought we're experiencing so, there's really nowhere to float a boat. It's town day so, it's off to the Post Office, the Wagon Wheel Cafe, the Holiday Market, and Cindy says she wants to stop at the Grocery Outlet for vegetables. To satisfy this strange "Nautical" feeling I have, I'll be totin this Navy theme Sod Buster Jr. and my Shellback challenge coin. Pancakes and Sausage at the Wagon Wheel !!!!

Enjoy your Nautical day, Ed !!! :)
I'm jealous. I didn't get a stinkin' challenge coin when I became a Shellback on 10 February 1992
Nor did I get a stinkin' challenge coin for Blue Nose, one month later 17 March 1992 above the Arctic Circle
We were nuclear powered, never had to refuel at sea and they sent us "everywhere".

Another beautiful day here. The fog burned off early. I took this Albers with me for a walk. I’ll just be puttering around my place doing some gardening. Besides the turkeys, bunnies and deer hanging around we have a bunch of quail running around. They used to be quite common to see but the past few years not so much.

I got a certificate too. Never went far enough North for the Blue certificate.

During the Mombasa port visit, the President of Kenya (pictured on 20 Shilling note and the coin on top) visited our ship
Departing, he wore a ship's ballcap. After that, we could get most anything from the "Hey Joe's" on the pier just by swapping a ballcap. They REALLY wanted one.
All the African wood carvings I accumulated during that visit, I've since given away mostly to family. Still have 3 carved Elephants though.

2 Wooden 1 Stone from Africa. The small carved Amber one in back, I picked up in Poland
